GuardRFID Industrial Product Solutions for Automated Personnel and Equipment Tracking in Harsh (Ex/Hazardous) Environments
As a conformity solution used to protect workers and assets that operate in explosive (Ex) environments, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has developed the IECEx certification which sets the standard for equipment to be used in hazardous or explosive areas. The current GuardRFID products that have received IECEx certification are: AT-4BLF-Ex, ST 3BLF- Ex, IT- 2BLF- Ex, ITR-Ex, and ITE-Ex. These are part of GuardRFIDâs Industrial Product Solutions that can be used in designated hazardous or explosive environments, which will be summarized as part of this information exchange series (Part 1 of 5).
The AT-4BLF Active Label is an active RFID tag for tracking, locating, and protecting equipment and other assets that require an ultra-low profile tag with a small footprint. The tag can be placed on almost any surface, including metal surfaces, without significant degradation in performance.
The Tag has an integrated motion sensor that can be used to alarm on movement, and which increases the Beacon rate when the tag is in motion. A temperature sensor allows monitoring of ambient temperature between -30Âş to +50Âş Celsius. Read more at:Â http://www.guardrfid.com/node/337
