  “I TOLD YOU nicely. I’m not being bossy about it.”

   KIKU LITERALLY SCREAMED at the Princess because the pain was so much worse. What else was in that spear to make the pain ten times worst? “No.” She said in between breaths. “Please, you need to pull it out now.”

“Please tell me I did not just see that…?” 

   “YOU DID NOT just see that and you’re not going to tell anyone about it.”

   “JUST SO YOU KNOW, there are pizza’s that are square in shape. I think yellow cab has one.”

   “Y-YEAH. I-I’M S-SURE about it---- okay. I’m so sorry. Please don’t kill me. I didn’t mean to break this vase that I know costs a fortune.”

“Soulmates… yes, so you are one of those” Thomas grabs a book to avoid looking at her but after a moment he tries another look. “You are one of those who have a soulmate and believe these little signs actually have a meaning” He looks back to his own tattoo and sighs. “Not all of us have the luck to have one”

   “NO... I MEAN, YES. Maybe. I mean, all of us has those tattoos. Well at least, here it’s a tattoo. But for those who lived in Japan believes in this red string of fate.” Kiku tried to explain to the man. “The only misfortune of you not meeting your soulmate is because they’re dead. If, they’re dead. I’m not saying yours is already dead. Haven’t met mine yet either.”

   “I’M NOT LYING.”

“Yes, because my book that was no where near the edge of the table could easily fall into this mop bucket.”

   “LOOK, I HAVE no interest on your book nor I want it to get soaked in a water. Stop blaming it on me, please.”

“I’m not sure I know what you’re talking about… or actually want to know” Thomas sighed and wanted to return to the bookshelf he was looking at. He needed a specific book but wasn’t sure if had seen it in shop or at the antique market - either way he didn’t like to be bothered looking for anything healing related.

   “WHY NOT? THERE’S a lot to learn.” She insisted, turning the page of the book where she saw it. “See? Look at this.” She walked over to him and showed what’s written on it. “It says that the red string connects two people together. They’re like soulmates. Only that this invisible red string is knotted on your pinky finger. And somewhere in this world, that red string connects you with the person you’re supposed to be with.”

“That wasn’t me, I swear.” 

   “I COULD GET in trouble because of this. Please tell me the truth.”

“Do people serve coffee here or is it self service?”

   “IT DEPENDS. You can request and one of the kitchen staffs could serve you the coffee or you could just go to the kitchen yourself and make one.”

            Alexander paused in the middle of the hallway as he realized one ( rather important ) notion. HE’D FORGOTTEN HIS AMULET AGAIN. The royal let out a strained breath – turning on his heels to return tot he room in which he’d stayed last night when he ran straight into someone going in the opposite direction. Crossing his arms over his chest he glared “ Excuse me – out of the way. ” thick London accent slipping out as he did so. 

   BEING THE CLUMSY girl she was, Kiku didn’t notice the man that ran straight into her in the first place. Piles of books dropped on the floor and her jaw dropped slightly. “Excuse me?” She furrowed her brows at him. “You help me here. This is your fault.”

“Excuse me, who else could’ve it possibly been then? As far as I know, we’re the only two here.”

   “IT COULD BE a g h o s t for all we know. I mean, this place is really really old.”

“Just stay out of my way next time.”

   “SORRY. I REALLY didn’t mean to.”

“Don’t worry, I’m not mad. Accidents happen.”

   “REALLY? YOU'RE NOT? Because I think that necklace is really pretty and now it’s all broken.”
