During this time, I had a severe art block—I couldn't even look at coloring books. The very thought of coloring or drawing anything from scratch made me feel uneasy. But everything's fine now :)

I've done another mini-redesign of my character. It's not much, but I'm so glad I've found the desire to draw again.

At the same time, I've also developed a desire to try creating a My Little Pony AU. I watched a few YouTube videos that I found in recommendations and decided, "Why not practice creating my own universes by creating an AU based on an existing one?"

I think it'll be a bit of a training exercise (´• ω •`) Albeit a rather lengthy one….

Oh, I also made a base from this art. And I plan to gradually make bases for non-standard griffins and hippogriffs.

Yesterday I was reading the ponies descriptions in a Gameloft game. I was just scrolling through them in the order the game suggests. I eventually came across the main six as Kirins. And only after reading their descriptions did I realize something.

When I redesigned Jotaro as a Kirin, I did it intuitively, and the main factor was his hair. I wanted a scruffy but beautiful curly mane. But I completely forgot that Kirins are always silent, just like Jotaro himself.

For the first time in a long time, I was able to build a drawing using lines and shapes rather than just a spot. And for the first time in an even longer time, I was able to draw a pony from scratch, without using a base. I consider this progress and am quietly happy inside.

And first I changed my original Jotaro design quite a bit, but I made him larger and more proportional, in my opinion. The biggest change in his design is the fangs. I thought this kind of sexual dimorphism might well have been present in the kirins.

I also changed his design on my old art. I don't know why, but here it is.

This is something like a continuation of the post about Jotaro. In the previous post I showed the art in which Noriaki was present, so here I will post only what I have not shown yet. So, let's begin.

Let's go back 4 years to 2021. Almost immediately after the drawing of Jotaro and Noriaki in the cherry orchard, I wanted to make some kind of reference that I could rely on. This is the very first such reference. Before that, I drew Noriaki as a fox (I think there is this pencil drawing on my blog), and I took the coloring from it.

The next Noriaki drawing was a hug with my OC (she had this super-duper overloaded design back then). I based it on the moment from MLP: The Movie where Princess Skystar hugs her mom. There are two versions because I wanted to change the colors of my OC during the process.

The next one was a drawing with Jotaro-kirin, Noriaki-dragon and my OC. This is already 2024. Here Noriaki has a completely different design, which I took from my drawing, when I depicted him as a dragon. Actually, I had drawn Kakyoin as a dragon before, but in the same color palette as the pony. But one day I came up with a new image of him, which I use now. Noriaki reminds me of the spotted deer that live in Japan.

I haven't finished this thing yet. I might remake it. Anyway, I wanted to experiment and see how Kakyoin could look like as different Equestrian creatures. Sorry, but I'm too lazy to translate the caption on the picture into English.

Oh, and here's one of the latest. I wanted to redo this picture because my OC design has changed a lot. And I don't like the first version that was drawn in May of this year because Noriaki's old colors and Alice's new colors don't go well together. So I made a mini reference with Kakyoin's new design earlier this week, and yesterday I finished redrawing the hugs. Now I'm happy with the result. I don't know why, but I really like drawing Kakyoin with a long mane.

This post will be dedicated to MLP and JJBA again, or more precisely to one specific character - Jotaro Kujo.

I remember I hesitated for a long time to draw Jotaro because I couldn't decide which pony race to classify him as. When I drew Dio, I decided that the Joestar family would be pegasi. And here is the very first design of Jotaro. Here I tried to redraw a moment from the OVA (I really love OVAs, they are especially warm), but I quickly lost the desire to draw the background, so I left it like this. I decided not to draw Jotaro's cap because I spent a long time drawing his mane and did not want to cover it. By the way, this was winter 2021.

And this I drew in the spring of 2021. Oh, I was REALLY tired of drawing cherry fruits on trees. Somewhere in the middle of the process, I realized that I could just copy and paste, but that was also tedious. Ahaha, just now I noticed that Jotaro has some kind of tattered tail. Let's assume that other stallions skinned it in fights.

I'll be honest, I still haven't gotten around to watching/reading Part 6, I just like Jotaro's colorful cap. Apparently, I suddenly wanted to change Jotaro from a pegasus to a kirin. I left his wings, but changed the color. I tried to depict the shimmer on his wings, like black birds like starlings.

Later I abandoned the wings (and the cap) because it looked too busy. I just forget about the cap and remember only when the work is completely finished. There is also Noriaki in the form of a dragon (I will write about him separately), as well as my original character Alice Gryphrex.

I'm still not sure where to start, I have so much stuff… So I'll share the simplest one, in my opinion.

I recently decided to count how many years I've been a fan of this or that franchise. It turned out that MLP:FiM has been lifting my spirits for 13 years, and JJBA - for almost 6 years. And that's fine with me, I don't need more :)

So, first of all, I decided to post MLP-style art. They are pretty simple, but I really love them.

Decided to start with something old. I drew this in 2020. It depicts my characters - lava ponies named Cosmos and Arga Ptosi. It seems that this is the only art with them so far, because I could not come up with a complete story about them. But everything is ahead.

When I saw the screenshot from which the base for this art was made, I immediately realized that I wanted to depict this moment. This is also 2020. I remember that back then it was very difficult for me to transfer Noriaki's image to the pony and choose colors so that everything looked harmonious. Now I've gotten the hang of it.

To be honest, I feel a little cringe at this art now, but I still think it's cool. I remember having a lot of fun drawing all the little details. At the time, it seemed like a pretty difficult task. By the way, I put the idea into this art that no matter how strong Dio became, he couldn't completely control Jonathan's body, which is why the wings didn't turn completely yellow.

I hope that I'll come up with something, like collages or comparisons with old works. Because I don't want to post old works just like that, without comparing them with new ones.

Я недавно поняла, что глаза очень многое говорят о персонаже. Если глаза прорисованы хорошо и видно взгляд персонажа, то в какой бы он ни был изображён форме, его можно узнать.

С шерстью проблемы были из-за того, что Джотаро я представляю в виде метиса добермана и хаски, а значит окрас и рисунок на шерсти тоже смешиваются. В интернете не так много хороших референсов, поэтому мне пришлось потратить больше времени на это))
