what i think: Steve Harrington showed astounding self driven development over the past three seasons. he puts himself down for being a ‘shitty boyfriend’ and dumb and a loser who peaked in high school, barely realising that whilst he may have lost some more generally desired aspects of his life (a girl he loved, popularity, and many of his ‘friends’) he had in return become a much more positive force in many other people’s lives, giving unbelievable levels of support to his new and much more genuine friends, and risking his lives to save them on numerous occasions. this constant narrative of Steve being a dumb ex jock completely simplifies his character and fails to acknowledge his wits outside of academia, and in this essay i will …
