Birds of a Feather - Chapter 5
[ā¦] Guzma ignored the ruckus behind him and kept his eyes on Tucker, who was risking a jump onto the next car in front of him. One more to go and he would be reaching the trains tender full of coal right behind the main engine. It was their last shot at stopping the train.
"BOSS, BROOK'S CATCHING UP!!"
You gotta be kidding me.
In the corner of his eye he could see someone gaining on him.
Guzma looked to his right.
There was no way...
On a red painted quarter horse sat a young woman on bare horse back, merely a rope around her mares neck to hold onto. She was riding right next to him within arm's reach. White blouse, brown vest, a split brown riding skirt and dirty blonde hair with a tint of a red shimmer, tucked safely in a loose bun underneath her dark hat.
Guzma recognized her.
It was the Lady he had seen in front of the saloon.
