just having fun. 

the answer stings her heart in an incomprehensible way. it’s as if a barb wire hugged it snugly, but it’s her own fault for trying to get a straight answer from a woman like misato. it would only scare her to define a relationship. but as a result ritsuko was left being toyed with whenever she was lonely.

but perhaps that was but her purpose…to be used. it was foolish of her to think there was a possibility of definition, even if were simply friends with benefits. or if misato even thought of a real relationship with her. there was never clarity, just fuzziness with self indulgence.

before she even has the chance to muster up a response, misato is back upon her lips & she closes her eyes in desperate longing. a polished hand reaches through her lovers hair & gently caresses her locks. pulling away her lips & ignoring her logical definite questions she yearns to ask misato & instead falls into their old routine, only refreshed with new settings & dynamics surrounding them.

        SHE could tell it wasn’t the answer ritsuko had been wanting to hear, but it was the         truth. in all honesty, the thought of trying to define whatever this was that they had          been doing for so long sent waves of self doubt running through her mind. thoughts         of her not being enough for ritsuko, not being able to live up to the standards she knew         the other so desperately needed. god, she was so fucked up. the both of them were,         which morbidly made sense as to why all this worked. no one could understand her         quite like ritsuko could.                   a satisfied sigh would curl from plush lips at the feel of her fingers through her hair,          instead deciding to simply immerse herself into the kiss and forget about all the          troublesome thoughts lurking in the back of her mind. for now, all that mattered was         ritsuko and just how much they could do from within the small spans of the work          closet. a brow would furrow, however, when the said blonde would pull away from         the kiss and warrant a curious gaze flashed her way.

SOFT ANGST STARTERS

“Ah—well, yes! I had just gotten off of WORK. There was a lot to CLEAN tonight.” Tohru let out a soft laugh. “But since you brought it up…it’s pretty QUIET tonight..kinda SCARY.”

          he’d been caught red handed! and here Spike had hoped to win at this game without having to nurse a pounding hangover later on. letting on a sigh, he smirked, remaining cordial to the situation, “ alright, fine.    you got me —— y’know, you’ve gotta pretty good eye for someone hammered. guess i underestimated you.  ” humoring her, the hunter gulped down his own drink before, with only minor grievances, draining the alcohol she had given him. “ there — are you HAPPY now?  ” his cheeks tinged a light shade of pink as the drink began to hit his system. it settled warm and comfortable in his stomach.  dammit, he was gonna win this drinking game no matter what it took.  waving the bartender over, Spike ordered a couple more beverages for them, his smirk widened into a challenging grin, “   ladies first.    ”
