Peace experiment (see oldest post first)

While many Americans celebrate foul language and insults as part of their free speech I fear the rest of the world just perceives it as a sign of stupidity.

Law usually assumes that suicide is a decision of free will and that even when people mob suicidal people they do contribute nothing to the actually suicide.

This is a definition of suicide created by healthy people who simply do not understand what they are talking about. Depression is like torture, suicidal people will normally to their last moment seek other options to end the torture (I know a person who considered going into coma until better antidepressants where developed).

I have currently versed myself in the question if the universe shows signs of intelligent design or not. I will explain in a later post why I think the argument is not running good for the atheists. But if there is intelligent design the next question is: who is the designer?

Two proposals are often made in this context:

1. One or more supernatural intelligence(s) 2. One or more alien inteligence(s)

The common reasoning behind it is that the universe must have been created by an intelligence vastly bigger than ours because it is looks so complex. But once you understand the underlying laws of nature it becomes much less complex. Evolution for example creates incredible complex organism but in itself is a set of terrible simple rules. So there is a third group of beeings that have the mental capabilities to design this universe:

Now if we apply Occams razor the simpler solution (the solution with the least unknown or assumed entities) is the most likely correct. I do not fully trust Occams razor so solution 1 and 2 are still possible for me but they are not the most likely :)

Kadashian’s engagment ring has cost over 5 million Euro while mine has cost thirty. Am I somehow less worth than her? I have saved the lives of three people, the first when I was eight years old including reviving said person. I nearly lost my life while trying to safe a forth person in a white water river where swimming was forbidden. Even a doctor who saved hundreds of lives will not have such a ring. I have seen people who got so poor that they needed to sell their wedding rings.

Many religions provide harsh punishments for those who suicide (often hell). This is foreseeable. In a world where life is seen as a gift of god rejecting the gift is a direct critique to the wisdom of the creator.

As I have seen on the internet many depressive believers hence run into quiet aggressive reactions from other believers. I will not overplay it because there are many stupefying reactions to depression from non believers as well.

However when confronted with such behavior remember that it is not god considering to take his live today, but you. Your condition should should hence have priority, and certainly have priority over philosophical lessons in your religion.

When I was six years old I developed the idea that I am trapped in a time loop (without having ever heard the term time loop.) I feared that in the future I would make an error, after whom I would get a second try. My memory would be deleted and I would be send back to a certain point in time, maybe yesterday. I wondered if I would have any chance to avoid the error and hence end the loop.

I decided that I had zero chance to escape the loop. This makes me a determinist, although I did not know than what this is.

My reasoning was the following: I had no idea that my mind is my brain, or that my decisions could be influenced by genetics. I reasoned that my mind is a set of information - my experiences - on which I base my future decisions. So if I enter the loop always with the same set of informations I will always make the same decisions and hence the same error.

Take the following example of inclusion - there is a race and EVERYONE is generously invited - your are just not allowed to bring a wheelchair.

Germany has a population only a forth of the USA. It as well a much poorer population. The GDP per capita is only 73 % percent of that of the USA. That the USA feels threatened by economies that are much weaker tells a lot about the xenophobia and paranoia that is going on there.

But that is not my problem. The planned 2017 budget for Development aid of the USA (minus military operations) is 25.6 Billion USD. Germany while much smaller and poorer spends the same: 23 Billion Euro. While the USA took up 110 000 refugees in 2016 Germany took up 320 000 (down from over 800 000 in 2015).
