But first must fight all of the spiky plants ~~

.. and nap under some rocks for shade ~~

Once the deadly sun lowered and the air was cooler he decided to find some water before finding shelter for the night.

During the night he picked up on the passing scent of a female, tomorrow he would find her.

~~

Bloodfish was not the best at courting or able to flash a colorful chest but he did happily lower himself so this possible mate could look him over. ~~

Pinto was satisfied but needed to see him hunt. The two carefully watched as two Trex’s fought for territory, leaving one loser limping away. ~~

The two quickly coordinated a successful hunt and had their fill. ~~

-Days later -

The small snorts of an Anodontosaurus peak the pair’s interest.

The hunt begins as Thals swoop in to watch, unfortunately it's tough skin was too much of a match for them. Leaving it bloody to waddle off for the time being. ~~

The young male Allo continues to grow and bond with his mate Pinto, he hopes one day they can continue their bloodline with a clutch of eggs.. But for now.. ~~

Gulping up as much water as she could hold before the journey continued.. However she was not expecting her mother to leap across the river. ~~

After a moment of hesitation Knifefish took a deep breath and made a big leap. ~~

Once across she was greeted by her mothers soft coos as they groomed each other's wet feathers. Also being introduced to some other flock members. ~~

As night falls, the lead female Zebra decides they should sleep in the safety of a nearby cave. Her knowledge and watchful eye keeps predators away for the night.  ~~

Hearing the loud cries of a familiar call she was led to the cliffs ~~

It was her packmates Pickle and Chili ! ~~

Vinegar is reunited with her mate ~~

Thirst drives them to find fresh water ~~

However they are not alone ~~

The shadowy rex leaves with a belly full that means the pickle pack feasts ! ~~

Being nosey the pack sniffs out a group Styracos ~~

The pack stops to enjoy the sunshine ~~

with the scent of blood in the water they continued their search for food ~~

A large spino frightened Chili and Vinegar just as they were about to reach climbable land

The two try desperately try to escape the water but.. this is where Vinegar meets her end .. a group of Sarcos ambush them ~~

Pickle watches as they take Vinegar down to the bottom. Only returning up when they were finished. He could hear the frightened calls of Chili who made it out and could not watch any longer.
