Ground Up Music Prize Draw Winners Announced!
We're delighted to announce the winners of the Ground Up Music Prize Draw, celebrating the fantastic musicians who have been part of the project over the past year.
After months of recording, creating, collaborating and releasing music, three lucky participants have been selected to receive music production prizes designed to support them on the next stage of their creative journey.
🥇 1st Prize Winner – Aiden Surridge
Focusrite Scarlett Producer Pack
🥈 2nd Prize Winner – Fyzz Wallis Band
Focusrite Studio Condenser Microphone
🥉 3rd Prize Winner – Kezia Salmon
Audient USB Audio Interface
All three winners will also receive a copy of the powerful digital audio workstation Cockos REAPER, alongside exclusive Ground Up Music merchandise.
The winners will be visiting the Chime Creation Centre over the coming weeks to collect their prizes and take part in a special photo opportunity. We'll be sharing photos and updates across our website and social media channels, so keep an eye out!
The prize draw marks another milestone for Ground Up Music, which has supported more than 40 musicians from across Peterborough to record, produce and release their music professionally. Despite facing challenges along the way, including the break-in at the Chime Creation Centre last year, the project has continued to grow thanks to the determination of participants, staff, volunteers and supporters.
Benny Turner, co-founder of Beat This and founder of Drip Dry Productions, said:
"Ground Up Music has shown what can happen when people are given the opportunity, support and space to be creative. The quality of music we've seen emerge from the project has been incredible, and we're proud of every artist who has taken part. Congratulations to our prize winners, and thank you to everyone who has helped make Ground Up Music such a success."
While we're celebrating our winners, Ground Up Music isn't over yet. We are continuing to work with local musicians and are developing exciting new opportunities, including a dedicated podcast showcasing local talent and a series of live events designed to help artists reach new audiences.
A huge thank you to everyone who signed up, took part, supported the project and shared their music with us. Ground Up Music has always been about creating opportunities, building confidence and giving local artists a platform to be heard—and we're excited to see what comes next.
Congratulations once again to Aiden Surridge, Fyzz Wallis Band and Kezia Salmon. We can't wait to welcome you to Chime and celebrate your achievements!
