@cross-is-here-too, we haven't spoke in a while. How are you?
!
P-Philetta!
I'm... Okay, child. You?
I'm doing okay. My gang's been having internal troubles, Killer keeps eating through Cleaver's food stashes. Anything new for you, dad?
No, not really... Other than that I'm thinking about some old friends.
Hey, you seem kinda sad, are you sure you're ok? I can, uh, I can get you some hot chocolate if you want it?
Hot chocolate actually sounds nice, thanks.
*Philetta nods and runs off to get some hot cocoa. After a minute or two, she's back with two mugs of warm chocolate, and a bag of marshmallows. She hands one to Cross.*
Anything else I can do?
No. What you did is enough..
I wouldn't mind the company though.
Okay. Um, in the future, if you want me to... if you need someone to just be around, you can always ask for me, okay? I don’t like seeing you sad like this and all alone. *Letta sits down and observes the flowers to the right of her.*

*Philetta looked around the area, a small unwilling grin on her face. She was trying to look pleased with the chaos, like the leader of a murderous gang should be, but the fourteen year old felt too terrified to put on a proper smile. Looking around the evacuation site, she spied her friend among the ranks of the pitiful townsfolk that escaped. She ran towards Nelly.*
Nellie! Pal! Hey, you got out! @pant-shipchild
*At the moment, Nelly was reading a book, the only thing she could save from all the fires. She was trying to avoid thinking about the chaos in the place she loved. She heard her friend's voice and immediately closed the book and stood up, happy to know they were there*
H-hey!... Oh, stars! You also got out! Are you hurt? I-I was worried!
I'm not hurt, really, only a few scrapes and scratches. *she nearly died under a wooden beam, but Letta wouldnt worry Nellie about that.* Are you okay? Anything I have to heal for you?
*She sighed, a bit more relieved*
I'm good, I only had to walk through a crowd of people, but luckily I didn't get pushed away or something like that.
*She stared at the other for a second* O-oh! What about your family? Is everyone okay?
My father is fine, though I have no clue as to the groundhog. *she moves to a different topic, clearly not wanting to talk any longer about her parents.* Uh, whatcha reading? What book?
Oh, s-sorry
How many times have I apologized today? Is that bad?*internal screaming*
It's about this one boy with nature powers, I just started reading it
*She tried to do a smile, even though the reminder that everything was now gone was still there*
Hey, that's nice! He, uh, he a dumb protagonist? S'it shit or good?
*She chuckled a little*
He's a bit dumb, and the story is fine at the moment, I didn't reach the plot yet
Ah, dumb boy syndrome. It happens to nearly all young male protagonists, having them pure of heart while still dumb of ass. It's a serious affliction!
*shes trying to cheer Nelly up with jokes.*
*She seemed happier*
Yup! It's quite common, but I honestly kinda like it *chuckles*
Do you usually read?
Uh, yeah! I usually read graphic novels, but I do enjoy reading! What's your favorite book?
Hm... I always like to read books that will teach me new stuff. But I really enjoy fantasy stories, so I'd probably say 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe'
Oh, ya read Henry Otter? It's my favorite trilogy!
Oh, yeah! I think I've heard about it
*For a moment, she completely forgot about the chaos*
My favorite character is Dronn Weafoy, what's yours?
Hmm... Maybe Catmillione Drainger? But I'm not sure
Oh! Catmillione, I forgot about them! They're honestly probably my second favorite, just because of the wizard's battle royale that happened in the unofficial fourth book. Though, in the original series they were really cool too!
Oooh!
I haven't read that one yet, was it good?
Mmm.... it was alright. I wouldnt spend money on it, but it's worth the read. I can't wait until you learn that- oh crud, Haha, that's spoilers. Anyways, it's good, and you should probably get it from the library later...
*She stayed quiet, thinking, for a second. She'd plan something fun, but it finally hit her. How could that even happen? Everything is destroyed and in flames! When will things go back to normal? How long will it take?*
I mean-... I definitely would, but I don't think that's a great idea now that everything is- well, uh- burning
.....oh yeah. Uh, d'ya think there's a town nearby with a big enough library? *Letta was not going to let this minor inconvenience bring her or her best friend down.*
Hopefully. Maybe there's a really big tree to climb and see what's beyond this place? I have been around here before, but all I could really see was trees.
*She raised her ears*
But don't tell anyone about that, I don't think I'm allowed to go that far without permission.
Aw, don't worry, I wouldnt tell on ya! So, uh, I could actually probably stand on one of my magic bullets and float up someplace. No need to find a tree. That good with you?
Oh! You can float? You've never shown me your powers before! *she looked excited*
And yeah, it's completely fine
A'right, I'll have to ask you to be able to catch me or something if I fall. Uhhhh..... *Letta summons a chunk of ice, just big enough for her to step onto safely. She digs her claws in and forces it into the air with her magic. Once she's high enough, she looks around for another town.*
I have no idea of the layout of BV should I just bullshit it?))
Sure, be careful!
*She opened her wings a bit, looking up to her friend in case she fell*
Nah, you in the Lounge? Imma ask there in case someone has any plans for that ))
*Letta couldn't see anything, really. It was a bit dark, and despite the height that she was at there were still trees higher. She lets some of the magic holding up the ice block dissipate, and descends a bit recklessly, jumping off of the block when it was about fifteen feet from the ground.* Hey Nelly! Theres nothing. Too hard to see shit.
Aw... Well, I guess we'll find something eventually if everyone decides to explor-...
*Nelly watched the other jump off the ice block*
Wait! Don't jump yet, you'll hurt yourself!-
*Letta tried to roll to lessen the impact. She cried out audibly, but stood up shakily as soon as she was able.* hey, I-its fine, Nells. I'm good.... *she was not good.*
*Nelly instantly went to help Letta as soon as she saw her hit the ground, really worried*
Mh-m! You're not!
*She saw her trying to get up, and put the other's arm carefully on her shoulder so she could take support*
Don't force yourself, did you break something? Where does it hurt? I-... I can take you to someone who can heal you
*she winces when Nelly touches her.* I already healed myself, I'm f-fine- see... no blood.... *Letta gestures at herself. God... she just wanted Nelly to drop it. She was fine. She survived, and though she was nearly out of magic and only on single digit HP, she was fine, dammit!* stop worrying, it's okay, Nells...
I am not going to leave you like that, Letta! I'm not dumb, I can see you're not fine.
Let me help you, okay?
Nelly, I'm fine, its probably only some bruising. I... I already healed myself. Everything's okay, it's good, it's all great.
F-fine... *She let go*
But if I notice it gets worse, we'll get help for you.
....fine. you okay? I hope I didn't worry you too bad.
*She shook her head* No, no. It's fine, I'm good
...Your powers are really cool, by the way!
Thanks, it's mostly just ice manipulation though. Kinda just what the Snowdrakes do. You got magic?
Eh... I'm not sure. Sometimes random stuff start floating around me, but I have no idea how that works
You know what? You know what, maybe we should try that out! Practice your abilities!
Oh, sure! But how do we even do that?
Well, let's start with what causes the magic to happen. What's a common factor?
I think it usually happens when I'm sad, stressed or angry. Even though I'm almost never in those moods
Then right now seems perfect to try it out, considering... *Letta gestures at everything.* that. Now, magic typically comes to you easier when you're focusing on yourself, thinking about how things will happen to you, and how you will happen to everything else. It also is based heavily in emotion and intent. Got that?
Alright! Y-yeah, got it!
*Nelly looked to around for something to try her 'magical abilities' on*
S-...So do I just try it?
yeah! don’t worry about it, you’re gonna do alright!
Okay-...
*She got closer to the ground, and stared at stick trying to focus on her thoughts.*
...Here we go
*It took her a while, but she managed to make the stick float for about 2 seconds before it fell down again*
that’s great, Nell! can ya do it again?
Thanks!
I'll try!
*Nelly looked back at the stick, repeating the same process. This time, the stick started floating way higher than before, spinning around in the air and glowing in a pinkish tone*
Wha...- H-...how do I stop it?
Er, try thinking about it releasing, or flowing away? I dunno how to explain it... but, uh, dont worry, you're doing well!
*It started floating faster and faster, hitting trees, the ground and Nell's face before flying away to who-knows-where*
Ow! I'm so glad it wasn't something hard-
*She looked up to the sky. The stick was gone*
Wow, that was definitely not in your control. But, hey, it's only your second time, so whatever. Wanna go again?
Alrighty...!
*She used her powers once more, making a small leaf, covered by snow, float upwards, very slowly*
now to bring it down, let go of the magic. let your thoughts wander, breathe freely. all that. dont worry about it falling gently, its a leaf.
*She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, letting the leaf fall*
*Then, she opened her eyes and smiled, proud of herself* Oh! There we go! Thanks, Letta!
YEAH! YA fuCKING DID IT!! great job Nells, thats impressive! you’re learning really fast!
Thanks to you, of course! *she laughed a bit, standing up*
I'd hug you, but I'm worried I'll touch a wound
oh, heh, i think i can stand it. *Letta opens her arms.* hug!
Yay! Hug!
*Nelly hugs Letta, carefully*
*Letta grins happily as she hugs Nelly back.* you know what, Nelly-pal?
Yus?
*She raised her ears a bit, without letting go off the hug*
Heh, I'm... I'm super happy we met. You're the coolest... *and Letta falls asleep on Nelly's shoulder, exhausted from the stress.*
*Philetta looked around the area, a small unwilling grin on her face. She was trying to look pleased with the chaos, like the leader of a murderous gang should be, but the fourteen year old felt too terrified to put on a proper smile.
