Guess finding a good mineral deposit or scrounging up some good artifacts out of sites does. Ran into a solid chunk of raw emerald the size of my head once. Pretty decent, too. Got me going from earcap to earcap.
Damnit. Fucking water has to be cold as hell. Hate tunneling into water, gonna freeze my servos up and take a week to dry after that.

"As far as the old man is concerned, yes, thatâs all Iâm made for." He looked to the side in quiet contemplation. "⌠Iâm not quite sure what else Iâm made for. I was trying to find that out." He took in a slow, artificial breath, as a means of expression programmed into him.
"Now that weâve had such a nice little chat, how do I get out of here?" Ballade crossed his arms and raised a brow.
Ground gave the much, much smaller robot a look. It was sort of an indistinct look given the big guy's face was a mystery behind that faceplate, but after a moment, he just flatly shrugged. And it was the barest excuse of a shrug that could be mustered on minimal effort. "Well, it's not getting out of a hole. Probably check that one off the list." He didn't seem too broken hearted about the idea of getting this guy out of his hole. This was probably the most semi-voluntary social interaction he'd done in probably years. So he looked up, then down at the crossed arms and generally unamused demeanor of the other. "... I could shove you right back up the damned hole you made in my tunnel." There was unsurprisingly no distinction between threat and offer in that sentence...

Well, at least he got an introduction before he was tossed onto to the pile of dirt. He grumbled as he stood up and swiped the dirt patches off of his body. âIâm not exactly hunting him, right now. Donât always follow the orders Iâm given.â He straightened himself up and looked up, up, and even more upward to see Groundâs face more clearly.
"⌠I was walking. Thatâs all I can really say. Trying to make contact with some of my brothers to see if thereâs anything to do. Well, I was going to do that before I got sucked down hereâŚ"
Ground gave a 'hrmph', although this one had a slightly different tone. A slightly lighter one of mutual understanding. "Why bother with the AI if you're gonna follow every thing you're told." Hell, he wasn't a strict follower of orders even when King was around. Well, as far as King knew, he was. He was sure he never found out about the constant theft, and only got some noticeable guff when the order to stop digging came through.
"--before you walked right into a hole three times your size." Ground huffed in firm correction, although there might've been a knowing, 'don't try and look dignified, I saw you' brow raise behind that face plate. "Hmph." At least digging was a skill not really all that tied to having a leash, sounded like all this guy was made for was the one thing he wasn't interested in doing right now. Yeah, sure most robots he heard of were like that, but usually they had... you know, some secondary skill that got commandeered for that whole killing part. He paused for a long beat, then huffed. "...So, that all you're made for? Hunting the blue kid and walking?" It... wasn't quite said in mean-spirits, just sort of painfully blunt social tactlessness.

And when the dirt and dust fell over his face, Ballade practically squirmed to brush it away from his eyes instinctively. âPppplegh!!â He fussed for a few seconds more.
As he was hoisted up further rather than being set upright, he crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes. A brute. Wonderful. âNot that itâs any of your business, but Iâm RKN-003. Ballade. Iâm a member of the Rock Man Killers.â He tilted his head and raised a brow. âI donât suppose Iâll get an introduction in return?â
Ground stared at him for a second, then narrowed one eye. "... Never met a gopher with this much attitude. You're in my hole. You're in my business." But there was a pause before Ballade was answered otherwise. "Huh, good for you, sounds like everyone I know." Who wasn't in line to kick that little guy's tush at some point in their existence? "... Ground Man. KGN-003. Not that it matters much anymore spare being carved on my chassis."
He finally got bored of hoisting the smaller bot up by the ankle, gave him one last shake-out of dust and dirt and grit, then set him back on the ground almost carefully. Which meant he more or less just plopped his metal rear onto the cushion of the dirt pile. Of course, that again made the drastic height difference all the more obvious. "Doesn't answer the other question, though. The hell are you doing out here? Thought that blue lug nut lived out that other way.." He wasn't quite as interested in or impressed with Ballade as he was wanting to know why there was another robot out here in general, given that he was usually seldom in the vicinity of anyone else. Which probably explained why he had all the refined manner of a petulant goat.

He grunted loudly with the yank, and after shaking the dirt from his face, his eyes opened, then opened wide when he spotted just how high up he was, and how large the robot holding him was. â⌠Run me over? You left trap holes!â He crossed his arms. âPut me down, already. I might not be a human, but I like being upside-down just about as much.â
That... really didn't impress Ballade's 'rescuer' all that much more than kicking at his precious dirt. The bigger bot just huffed in offense that Ballade couldn't tell the difference between a trap and an obvious entry point, and had the guff to sass him over it. "Not here I didn't. I left one big one any idiot could see if he watching where he was going." Ground grumbled and gave the much smaller bot a little jerk, knocking loose a whole new splash of dirt from his armor. Man, he got himself buried. "Should still run you over for kicking up my walls." He'd give him this; he had the guts enough to cop an attitude with someone well over twice his size. For better or, far more likely, worse. "I've never held a human upside-down. Wouldn't know or care what they liked." He grunted plainly and narrowed his eyes at the comment, then lifted Ballade by the ankle a bit more so that he could get a better look at him-- and vice versa. Yeah, definitely not one he recognized. "What are you supposed to be, and why the hell are you out here?" He asked flatly, sounding far more on the 'grumpily annoyed' end of the spectrum than outright upset. Well, Ballade wasn't getting free that easily just yet.

He had been wandering for who knew how long, and his mind was running through so many processes that he hadnât realized where his feet were. Thatâs what lead to this whole mess. Him being stuck in a damn hole in the middle of nowhere. Who the hell dug this thing? He couldnât even risk blowing himself out with a cracker, because he didnât know it if it would collapse a tunnel on top of him.
He grumpily kicked some dirt in the tunnel, which only lead to a larger pile of dirt to fall on him. Two legs sticking out of a pile of dirt. Is this really what it came down to? The legs, previously struggling, slowly just flopped down on the pile.
"DamnitâŚ"
The earth below above and around Ballade fast began to rumble with the sound of machinery shearing through dirt, the shaking of treads digging up the earth, and finally, the slowing of it all mere tiny little inches from where Ballade's feet that were jutting clumsily out of the mess.
There was someone in his damned hole.
This was the thought that crossed Ground's mind as he shifted out into his more humanoid shape, a low grumble echoing in his armor as he looked down. He didn't recognize the feet. Well, not that he really cared who was in his hole, but needless to say it sure as hell didn't help that is was a stranger.
There was a hefty grip around Ballade's ankle, from a hand that honestly had to feel gigantic, before-- yaaank!-- the buried bot came up and out of the dirt pile with little effort, and was hauled up by one ankle to face a displeased looking, dusty, dirty metal facade glared back at him. Upside-down, of course. Sand and grit and dirt still pouring out of Ballade's armor from the quick extraction. Several feet up in the air and still not eye-level. "Hrrrmph." It came out more a growl than anything. So, yeah, not quite the friendliest rescuer. He honestly sounded a bit offended. "Kicking in my tunnels, should've run you over."
Not quite sweet
It'd been a while, that was for sure.
He hadn't been back at the castle in ages now, not that he ever spent a great deal of time there in the first place. He was a field agent most of the time, he had little purpose in a castle. But still, it wasn't hard to find his way back to the castle, and it wasn't hard to know which room was Magic's. He could practically smell the flair.
He grumbled as he trudged through the hall with big clumsy footfalls. He really didn't have much else to do these days, so if it got Magic to hush up for a while, he figured he could humor a truly ridiculous request. Maybe he'd be less chatty with really big box of sweets stuffed in his mouth. He still had to wonder what made the other King number think that a shop for replacing industrial sized drill bits would be in any reasonable vicinity to a damned sweets shop, but then again, he wondered a lot of things about Magic.
He gave a low, audible exhale as he knocked on the door, hoping he wasn't going to have to crouch to crawl through that thing.

Eh. Wasnât a total loss.
There was free food. That was a highlight. And no one asked me to dance.

The Grumpiest Wallflower
"I prefer âHandsomeâ guy, and nahhh I ainât got a partnerâŚYet" -Aqua grinned as he put emphasis to that last word.He wasnât fazed by how annoyed the other looked, again he couldnât help his honesty.-
"Sheesh I get ya, I get ya, youâre not the only one who donât like this dress code."-A shrug, he ignored the muttering cause if he didnât heâd make fun of that too, he didnât need to piss off Ground.Aqua simply inched closer noticing how the other moved away, personal space? Please there was no such thing.-"Ya basically were bored of digging then."-How much fun was digging anyway?He couldnât imagine how boring working in that area would be.-
Ground just... made a face at that. "What are you, a ladies man, too?" This guy was just the full combo platter, wasn't he? He was persistent, if anything, he supposed. "Figured you would've caught someone by now out on the dance floor." He didn't bother rolling his eyes. Oh good, he was getting closer. Perhaps the body language was a bit too subtle. "I gotta wonder how whoever's throwing this thing figures that'll help. Most of still got fists. Metal fists. Figure letting us have the weapons would at least make it dignified." He shrugged, but didn't seem to be actually threatening a fight. He edged away another few inches as Aqua scooted up to his side. But it was when Aqua commented on digging, specifically the ridiculous notion that it could ever be anything near boring, that got Ground to look over at him and visually acknowledge him again, narrowing his eyes. "You're kidding, right?" He grumbled, which seemed to be his natural means of communication no matter what emotion. "I don't get bored of digging. I'm made for it. I could dig for a hundred years straight and not get bored of it. Drilling, finding treasure... having some peace and quiet to yourself," he didn't make it too obvious what he was referring to with that last comment, mostly because he couldn't be bothered to, "though, I'm guessing you've never tried it yourself to appreciate it." Wow, someone actually had some words hidden in them when it came to the right topic. Of dirt. He picked up another fruit tart and casually took a bite out of it to slowly chew, watching Aqua carefully in case he started doing that scooting thing to get closer.

-Aquaâs eyes widened in surprise slowly lifting an index finger to point at the other recognizing who it was-
"Oh man I know that voice, itâs Mole Man! You came to the party and- " -He took a moment to look over Groundâs attire then bursting out in giggles from the sight.-"Ya look like a total geek! Nice bow tie" -Aqua continued his laughing fit for a few seconds before speaking again, he honestly would have controlled his laughter if he could though this time he didnât even try.-
"Sorry sorry, ahem you look good yeahâŚTotally surprised you didnât bail and hide in your hidey hole hahaa"
"Hmff." Oh boy, he knew this one now. He really hoped he wasn't keen on making him dance. "Oh, yeah. 'Excited' guy. Thought you'd be busy dancing." He gave Aqua a little look. Yeah, well, he wasn't lying. Neither of them were built for dancing, so maybe he'd luck out. The giggling didn't seem to faze him much-- well, okay, his lip twitched up and his brow furrowed a tad more in a visibly grumpier way, if that was even physically possible on his face. "Wasn't wearing my armor without drills, painted or not." He stated firmly before muttering-- okay, muttering more than usual and with a bit more huff, "damned rules against weapons, strippin' me down to the core," to himself and picking up... was that a fish? It smelled just downright awful. His nose twitched at it even, but he took a bite anyway. Welp, that tasted as horrible as it smelt, so he just ate it all in one ridiculously casual bite anyway. No sense in spitting it out once he tasted it, that'd just be a damned waste of food matter, whether it was putridly disgusting or not. "Yeah, good." He parroted before moving over a bit to graze elsewhere, and maybe give Aqua room at the table, too. That was probably an unconsidered secondary to moving away from the fish... thing. "I don't hide. My tunnels don't have food." He answered just as plainly. "... And nothin' else to do, anyway."
