i feel like post-war rodimus would be the type to hoard nice things. he already painted his quarters bright pink. he wants to personalize his space. he'd have as big of a berth as he could find and he'd cover it in an absurd amount of blankets, pillows. any kind of soft padding he can get his hands on. he likes lounging around and feeling his frame sink into the fabrics. cushioned from all around. it's like a nice, subtle pressure over his whole frame, and yet he also feels like he's floating. it leads to some of the best nights of recharge and naps he's ever had.

maybe the first time he grinds up against a pillow is an accident. he's sleepy and horny and his hips start rocking unconsciously into his soft berth. from then on he's obsessed with the feeling of humping his pillows and blankets. he'll lie on his side with a pillow squeezed between his legs, another hugged close to his chest, and pant and moan quietly as he rocks his hips. everything is so warm and soft. when he opens his panels, his spike and node drag against the fabric so nicely his optics roll back. he spends an hour basically teasing himself, humping against a pillow or a bundle of blankets slowly until he's shaking. he'll squeeze a pillow tight as he cums, muffling his whines into it, and then the feeling of fabric coated in his own slick gliding against his array will be so addicting he'll just start moving his twitching hips again.
