Kink isn’t shameful because of the weird sex stuff. That part’s rad. It’s shameful because it is technically improv. 

This is a funny hot take and also… “kink” is not some monolithic thing that involves roleplaying. I’m not here to shame the roleplaying, but also there’s a lot of kink that’s “I really like experiencing extreme sensations!” “cool, I really like delivering intense sensations and watching someone’s reactions”, or “I really like the way my brain quiets down when I am restrained” and “I really like the craft and art and engineering of using rope and leather to constrain someone’s movements” and that is before we even get into all the “when one of us does one of those things one or both of us gets really sexually aroused and that leads to really great sex.” I’m not saying everyone is kinky, but I also think a lot of people think kink = roleplaying or pretending you’re someone you’re not and then never examine all the interesting things they could experience and enjoy. You don’t have to play the parts of “victim” and “big bad”.
