Just finished yellowjackets and last night I realized that if Jackie didn't die they wouldn't have had to eat each other ... Like I'm not blaming Shauna, but after Jackie died she was the only one who needed to CONSUME HER. like not only bc she was hungry, but bc she needed Jackie to be a part of her, the rest of the girls (and Travis) didn't come to that conclusion, obviously all the rituals would have been a thing like they already were, but shauna was totally devasted after losing her best friend, maybe if Jackie was there when she lost her baby, it would have been easier for her to get over it, maybe she wouldn't have the need to beat Lottie up and that would lead to Javi not dying... Maybe I'm being a little too convoluted, bc all the things could have or could have not happened with Jackie, but Shauna was too traumatized to deal with all that all by herself, not bc she was alone in this but bc she didn't trust anybody in that moment and Jackie was VITAL for her and it's obvious that she was the one who started all the cannibalism thing, but as I already said, everybody followed her bc they were hungry, but Shauna did it bc she needed to have Jackie in every way that she could, her dead was a turning point, a before and and and after in every character of the show in my opinion

I also think that Jackie is so important in this bc she was the one keeping them sane, she was the one who didn't take the mushroom soup and she didn't participate in the ritual/sacrifice of that same night, she would have never eaten a human body, we could think like omg if Jackie stayed alive she would have probably died bc of the harsh winter but actually she was it's first victim, she really didn't survive and also she was the one that kept them alive during that time as Shauna said, if Jackie's dead hadn't desencadenanted all this things I said earlier, they probably won't had survived
