On the other hand, Abolish is used to lingering pain, to his body needing time to heal even the smallest injuries. He knows what bruises feel like, he can easily ignore how his ribs ache, how a papercut keeps stinging, or how his head throbs. Meanwhile, Scott hasn't had a headache in centuries, the worst he's had to deal with on a semi-permanent basis is getting sunburned, and that's over as soon as he's out of the sun, so being soulmates with a fragile, slow healing human is, not to be dramatic, the worst thing that has happened to him in centuries.

It's still such a shame they didn't really get to use that ballroom :c

Well what if Scott wakes up and Abolish has got sick and tired of the man over the last 600 years. And while on the outside he seems to be doing everything Scott wants him to do, he is actually working with the humans to kill him? And does multiple attempts on his life which he is able to ward off as,

“There was a bag on your back, I had to get rid of it sir.”

“With a stake?”

“It’s what was in mind hand at the time sir”

“Through my heart?”

“Swung a bit too hard sir.”

even though their internal monologue is paranoid about Scott watching their every move, they only look around wildly when they're spiraling, other times much more still, like theyre frozen, a freeze defense mechanism no doubt learned from their childhood and life in the capital. they stand still when in conversations whereas beforehand they would shift on their feet and gesture with their arms, they speak so much more idk clearly??? but in a bad way??? before they would interrupt themself with more infodumping, hardly managing to get the words out because theres so much they wanna say, but then after turning their words are more intentional externally unless theyre panicking, as though each sentence is well thought out before they even say it. no doubt in fear of Scott overhearing.
