On the day that they agreed to host the dinner, Mitsuki dusted every single surface in the house, she was pretty sure she managed to dust the ceiling too, and Masaru was so thorough with his dishes, a five-star chef would doubt his abilities, if he saw Masaru's work. Safe to say they worked themselves up to pure bundles of nerves.

When a doorbell rang through the house, the both gasped. With steeled expressions, they made their way to the entrance and opened the door... Only to find Katsuki standing there with Izuku on the porch.

"....Brat, why is Izuki here?" Mitsuki said, confusion and a tad bit of annoyance in her voice. Tonight was for meeting his supposed loved one, not hanging out with friends, god dammit!

"Why wouldn't he be here?" Katsuki answered, completely oblivious to his mom's worry. "I said i wanna bring him over today, did you forget already?"

"Katsuki, do not fucking play games with me." The woman threatened though her teeth. "You said you want us to meet your boyfriend."

"If you remember, then what's the fucking problem, hah?! Can we come in already?" Katsuki retorted.

That made Mitsuki pause. She looked at both boys - the way they had actually touched up their appearences to look decent, how they were standing too close to pass as friends, their hands rubbing accidentally one too many times, and how stupid, smug grins were slowly spreading on their faces. It took a few seconds for realization to hit, before-

THE WAY TSU PUSHES IZUKU THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY?? Couldn't be bothered to give them their moment or some shit. Tsu calls her "Ochako-chan"? Oh, okay, team I'm-green-and-very-much-not-in-love-with-my-best-friend-whom-i-call-a-cutesy-nickname (Izuku being the only other member LOL)

I like to think that timeskip Uraraka is trying to move on from Himiko (who she was very much in love with also) and find peace in the present, so this picture was a picnic date and you can NOT convince me otherwise

Izuku's protests start to get more intense: where there was just a dismissive scoff is now a full speech on all of the king's misdeeds, where there was an eyeroll in response to those kneeling in front of the king is now a hateful shout. He openly speaks about his opinions, and it drives Katsuki mad. He is constantly like a wound-up toy, always nervious and paranoid for his lover and their future. Katsuki knows this won't end up in a happy ever after, and has to remind Izuku of that every time.

Too bad greenie's sence of justice is stronger than his self-preservation. One day Katsuki holds up an axe, one that his hands remember well from thousands of swings he made with it, shaking violently, so that the weapon almost gets dropped. He stares down at the neck framed with green curls, the neck that he, not many days ago, had kissed and held and rubbed and even bit. No one sees it, thanks to the mask on his head, but Bakugou is crying. Izuku can't even spare him his last glance, filled with too much grief for the life that he lost, defiance for not going down on what he believes in, and most of all guilt for making Kacchan be the one to take his life, for not listening to him before it was too late, and for not being a good enough of a partner.
