Imdb: What initially drew you to this role, and do you find doing comedy or drama more difficult?
Rupert: It was an outrageous script and I get to pretend to be a spaceman! And working with Robert Sheehan again.
Imdb: What's the differences between you and your character?
Rupert: I am a lot more laid back – Jonny is a lot more neurotic and stressed out.
Imdb: What do you love the most about Moonwalkers?
Rupert: I love that it doesn’t take itself too seriously – it is in a period of time that is really cool. Great costumes&music.
Imdb: How did you keep a straight face when working with @perlmutations and @RobMSheehan with such a funny script?
Rupert: Very difficult- the scene where Ron’s character is tripping on acid took us hours!
Imdb: What was the best thing about playing Jonny?
Rupert: He is such an ambitious tragic guy, everything he does doesn’t work but he has this drive and determination. And the suits...
Imdb: Is my Rupert Grint Fan Club membership card still valid?
Rupert: Yes definitely – always.
Imdb: Your eye shirts remind me of the 'evil eye' - do you have any superstitions?
Rupert: Umbrellas indoors and new shoes on the table.
Imdb: What director would you like to work with?
Rupert: I like David Lynch and Wes Anderson.
Imdb: What's his favorite fictional character, and why?
Rupert: I really liked The Bananaman as a kid… I just like #bananas.
Imdb: If your character from #Thunderpants work together with Jonny & Kidman, do u think the fake moon landing would be successful?
Rupert: Definitely, that’s a good idea for a sequel!
Imdb: Any plans for more theater work? On Broadway or the west end?
Rupert: No immediate plans but I love doing the theater, I’m exhausted after the last show so I want a bit of a break.
Imdb: If you could be in a movie, your dream movie, what will it be?
Rupert: Something dark, maybe playing a villain would be cool…Any ideas?
