the cromwell family has been in town since it was founded; they’re descendants of the first witch to put a charm on grimwood

they’ve all lived their own lives and found their paths in life, but wendy chose to uphold the family legacy by embracing a pagan lifestyle and working with the founding families to make sure the land stays protected

wendy is the baby of the family, but has arguably taken on so much responsibility, she acts like she’s the eldest at times

pretty standard family; grimwood natives, two parents that were attentive and supportive, but not completely overbearing

sawyer falls somewhere in the middle of the brood, and she’s always kind of blended into the background and preferred it that way

Gansey is the middle child of the three Hayes kids

The children of two professors, the oldest and youngest were always much more academically gifted than Gansey

Because of this there was always some sort of feeling of superiority growing up (especially from the oldest sibling) and any achievements that Gansey had were often downplayed compared to the siblings due to them not being ‘as impressive’ or as was once said to him by their father ‘the achievements of an idiot’

Being more similar to each other, even though there is an age gap the oldest and youngest Hayes have always been closer than either was with Gansey

Like the rest of the family never believed Gansey when they said that he could hear voices

Reason for being in Grimwood would be UTP, but would need to be relatively new there

Would not have known that Gansey is here before moving (whether they know or not now is up for discussion)
