This feels like a good reminder of why transparency matters. When there’s little or conflicting communication, people naturally fill in the blanks with what they hear and spread it fast

Now I feel really bad... My friend circle was telling a completely different story? I don't wanna namedrop but I was friends with some of the "popular" GG people and we were basically told people harassed Mystery for giving the upgrades out "for nothing" cause it messed up with the rarity of the upgrades so that's why they decided to not do that again... It felt a bit weird but I had no reason to not believe my friends...

Anon who sumarized the Journey problem is right! Me and my friends were some of the people who stayed up way too late because the window was only a few hours and we live in a non US timezone, so it was really sucky to just get told you were being unreasonable for asking when it never happened.. It made one of my friends just leave the group ad I cant even blame her honestly.

Journey TLDR: Mystery at one point randomly initiated a moondrop inn interaction with Journey, just some people applied cause whatever, it's just rp. TURNS OUT all who interacted with Journey got to apply a vocation upgrade of their choice for free (unobtainable otherwise in the game) so a lot of people understandably were very upset cause this was in no way mentioned anywhere before the window had already closed. People asked for a new window which the mods begrudgingly agreed to. (1/2)

The journey stuff really is just dunk and it's pretty much the epitome of what pisses me off about GG personally. There was so much potential and there were so many people willing to put effort and care into the community and wanting to take part, but then the "illustrious founder" just decided to hold onto artificial scarcity out of... Pettiness, I guess??? I had hopes that gwennie would have been better about it, but I guess not.

I'm just sad we never got the anni stuff we promised. I'm just hoping they actually deliver on the promises if the LK ever actually survives to public opening... And the Journey quest too. Mystery never delivered on the promise of not locking people out of it.

It's tragically funny that the person who's doing most of the rewriting and the lorekeeper ref work (based on literally what i've seen) is one of the NEW MODS. The old ones seem to be doing little to nothing in comparison. Guess they just hired workhorses and sat back to watch.
