Good Question! KandyLand Massacre has had a lot of influences over the years in both how I write the story, as well as how my art style has changed with it

When I first started writing KLM back in 2018 a lot of my influences came from different artists in the Animation Meme community, so many people had all these cool Animations with little snippets of a deeper story hidden in them and that always stuck with me

Ace Attorney was another big inspiration, playing that for the first time in 2022 definitely lead me to lean harder into the Murder Mystery theme for parts of the story

Funnily enough though, arguably the biggest influence to the story of KLM could be that "It's Been So Long" song by The Living Tombstone, as that gave me the initial idea to write a story about two parents searching for the person who took their son's life

anyways, do you have any general art tips? or tips on motivating yourself to make art?

As for art tips, the best advice I can give is not to overthink it! Even if it's just little scribbles and doodles, just drawing at all is better than not! You improve with every drawing after all

Don't be afraid to use ref, it doesn't make you a worse artist, all ref is gonna do is teach you more about what you're trying to draw
