It’s me, ya girl! My move has been successful! I’ve got my apartment, my dumb idiot cat, and everything ready to go! I’m not quite ready to come off hiatus yet. I want to finish everything before I return, so it’ll be at least another month. Thank ya’ll for the patience, here’s a picture of my cat.

Long time no see!

For those who’ve been keeping up, I’ve not been online in a long while, and for good reason. I started a new job and have insane hours. Luckily, your girl is gonna need those hours because she’s moving into a new apartment. Because of this, I’ll be offline for a good while, maybe even a few months as I settle into a new apartment and new schedule.

      “Ahaha, don’t worry,” Tohru laughs as she carefully smooths out the sheet of rice paper. “I’m getting pretty good at this–Shigure-san has a few shoji at his house, and, well…” She winces slightly, remembering just how often Yuki-kun and Kyo-kun used to fight. “We had to fix them pretty often…that is to say, I don’t mind helping out at all! This little bit of damage is nothing!” 

      Though she had gotten quite a shock, walking into Kotaru’s home only to find their cats hanging shamelessly through the door.

      ❛  Are you sure  –  I could always pay you––  ❜  Kotaru stops,  watching Tohru work.  It was rather satisfying to watch her replace what their cats had broken.  Of course,  Kotaru doesn’t doubt that the cats would repeat it,  if given the chance.  Yuri and Yumi were troublesome little girls,  who’d broken so many of Kotaru’s things that they were not surprised that,  at the sound of their front door opening, they sent themselves through the shoji. 

   “Don’t say that.” And despite it all, here she is, defending Chrom. “That he’s a jack ass. He…” The words die upon her lips. He was a jack ass, wasn’t he? For making her believe in a fairy tale ending, only to tear it from her grasp? She shakes her head and sets that thought aside. 

    “Of course I won’t let it end my life, but I…” Her hands ball into fists in her lap, and it’s only now that she begins to cry. “The Shepherds were my everything, Rajya. Everything outside of you. And now, I…” She swallows a lump in her throat. “I haven’t just lost Chrom–I lost them, too. Stupid, isn’t it? I used to make all sorts of plans about how I’d leave if I needed to–I don’t know why I made them, but I felt like I had to. And now…I left even though I didn’t want to.” 

   “I can’t just sit around here forever, but I….I don’t know what I’m going to do, either. I won’t go back to Ylisse, but…what Plegian would want me around?”

     ❛  Ha!  I know plenty of Plegians who’re quite happy Gangrel’s head isn’t acquainted with his body.  No one below the nobility cares about him.  ❜  Her tone drops,  though,  when she continues. 

     ❛  It’s okay to need a little time.  I don’t care if you sit in my house and cry for weeks if you need to.  Or even if you just want to.  ❜  Rajya reminds Ruya.  She doesn’t push her opinion of Chrom further  –  Ruya knows Rajya holds naught but distrust for him.  Distrust that now lingers and mixes with hatred.  Keeping her focus sharp, Rajya takes a moment to pull cups from her cabinets, and finally pours the tea for her sister.  ❛  But,  if I know you  –  and I do  –  then you’ll bounce back.  We always do.  ❜

     She sighs,  and leans over to take Ruya’s hand.  ❛  We’ve always made escape plans.  Our childhood wasn’t the best,  and some habits cannot be broken.  ❜  Her advice is parroted from her auntie,  something she’d admitted to her a few times.  How horrid it is to be broken,  unable to settle.  ❛  And besides,  I... have kept contact with a few of the Shepherds.  ❜  She almost seems embarrassed to admit it.  ❛  Panne’s been visiting weekly,  and Gaius sent a letter saying he was to swing by next month.  ❜
