OK BUT FEMALE CHU FAMILY DEFENSE SQUAD. Because the anime sure as hell doesn’t treat them right. 

When our first introduction of the gender difference Pikachu was her being pushed aside so the two main male characters can do the work. 

When Cosplay Pikachu who is canonly all female, in the anime and manga, is made into guys and the male Pikachu ( Satoshi’s and the male Libre ) is the lead while the females barely do anything. 

When we get an entire episode in XY with different Pikachus and the females are made to be damsels and background and do nothing.

When Cosplay Pikachu, who is a rocker, gets replaces by a male Pikachu with spiky hair and his trainer over… the actual legit rockstar Pikachu we have with Cosplay Pikachu? :’)))

When the only interesting female Pikachu we get is one from a PMD commercial. 

When the only female Raichu is from an old 4Koma that no one remembers. 

When merch typically brings up female Pikachus but only paired with male ones and most of the main female Pikachu merch is her being shipped and aside from one or two collections that’s all you associate her with ( and even one of them is featuring a male Pikachu shipped with her ). 

When the ONLY NOTABLE FEMALE CHUS are Pichu and are made to be protected by Satoshi’s Pikachu.

When female Pikachus can’t even fight or look bad ass because they’re too focused on the male ones and every anime version of a female is her being pushed back to Satoshi’s Pikachu and other males can have the spotlight.

When we finally get a female Pikachu, Cosplay Pikachu, in Pokken that’s badass and can fight but we barely see her acknowledged by fandom except for a few references / complaints about THE FIRST CANON FEMALE CHU FIGHTER being there and taking up spaces instead of being annoyed that the male Chu isn’t bringing much to the table and could’ve been replaced.

Realizing when they say Pikachu is the mascot they mostly mean the male ones because no female Pikachu has fought or done anything worthwhile and the only one to do so is in an arcade / WiiU game and the PMD commercial.

And don’t get me started on poor female Raichus tail and how there’s only been, to my knowledge, one female Raichu ever created in a 4koma.

Also  Pikachu x Pikachu is a thing in merch but don’t try and ship fem Pika or fem Rai with a Pikachu or male Raichu!!! Oh no!!! That would be scandalous!!!!! In fact no Pika x raichu that’s so  obscure that you have to squint in the anime and go back so far to the OS so you can see them hold hands in one dance episode and cry because THAT’S ALL YOU’RE GETTING BUDDY OL PAL.

FUNNY ENOUGH THAT 4KOMA WITH THE RAICHU IS ONE OF THE ONLY TIMES WE SEE A FEMALE RAICHU CRUSHING ON A MALE PIKACHU. SURPRISE SURPRISE. Take a picture you won’t see that again ever.

The day they make an official female Raichu plush or merch I’ll go dig a hole and die because the world has finally ended.

DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT’S GREAT? Chu fam sisters. Big sis Raichu and lil sis Pikachu. Or little sis Raichu with her smaller big sister Pikachu. Chu fam girls standing up for another. Chu fam with a fem Pikachu, Raichu, and Pichu. All these ladies ready to protect another and hang out and fight and be bad ass. Chu fam ladies protecting another and having long discussions and forming bonds. Chu fam girls comforting another and also ready to throw down and fight with teeth bared and fur bristled because they want to protect those they love. Chu fam girls finding their own places and aspirations and dreams and hopes. 

Chu fam girls not just there to be a background character to make male Pikachus look good. Chu fam girls, Raichus and Pikachus and Pichu, loving another and being there for another. Chu fam girls proving they can be just as tough, if not more so, than the boys we see always.
