The problem with The Power Broker is that it is the best book ever written, so good that it gives you a brain disease that makes you unable to do anything but talk about The Power Broker. I finished it two months ago and at just the idea of something with a two-degree connection to RM, I’m ready go put down every book on my to-read pile and just read The Power Broker again.

You guys remember when we learned Robert Moses had his staff practically doing The World’s Greatest Criminal Mind song and dance for him every day? Not the most insane thing in the that chapter. You don’t remember that? You would if you had read The Power Broker. You should go read The Power Broker. Why aren’t you reading The Power Broker? Somebody else please read The Power Broker.

If you treat the power broker as a prequel to unsleeping city it means that you can believe in a happy ending where Robert Mosses gets killed by a group of heroes at the end.
