When I answered to my colleagues that I’m not dreaming about a marriage, they looked down on me and acted like I’m not “normal”.

I sometimes wonder why people rate books before they’re even published or written!? 

Neither Paper Towns (4.05) or An Abundance of Katherines (3.75) are as well-liked as the book I have not yet written.

"I need feminism because at 12 my mother told me to take cat-calling as a complement." As i walked out of the mall as a young teen a ground of boys whistled at me and my mother told me that it was a good thing. I now know from learning my self that, that was definitely not a good thing. 

I need feminism because when my law class was asked if it is illegal for a man to rape his wife, all but two students said no. Their reason? Because they’re married and she is obligated to have sex with her husband- whenever. 

I need feminism because my female friends shouldn’t worry about shaving their armpits when we have swimming pool, afraid that guys would make fun of them.

Because when we ask them politely to stop, they think its a joke. And when we are rude, they say we are overreacting.

I need feminism because I was never taught that female sexuality is not a bad thing.

"But baby. You have to keep me attracted."

I need feminism because when i play online games I hide I am a woman, don’t talk on the mic and give myself a male sounding ID name. If I don’t they say: “Oh no our team has a female on it..” (and much worse) Why is being a female seen as a detriment? I just want to have fun and play the game. And if I am a bad player, help me to get better, don’t insult my gender. 

I need feminism because today I was on the train home with my mum and her friend, we had just had a day out. I had wore a skirt and tights for a change. On the train there was a man about 50 years old sitting across and to the right of me on the train. My mums friend started to notice that he keeps staring at me. He was looking at my skirt and then my legs. He then licked his lips. He continued even though he was sitting one seat away from my mum. My mum then placed her bag over my legs. I felt too uncomfortable with him so we moved to a different part of the train. I felt like vomiting. I should be able to go out with my mum, wearing a skirt, without being sexually harassed. I need feminism and I need it now.
