Genuine question, you say rape isn’t based off the attraction but then if it isn’t then why do rapists not do domestic violence? Also can I please have sources for “most pedophiles are most likely to harm others than themself” and “most men who rape men identity as heterosexual”
Rape is based off a desire for power.
"Why do rapists not do domestic violence" Many of them do. I don't understand where you got this notion from. A lot of domestic abusers are rapists. If someone desires power, they may choose to have a relationship so they can have a consistent victim. They may also be attracted to the person genuinely, but power is still their priority and the motivating factor.

EPA-0284 – Pedophiles and (or) child molesters
Only a small part (16,2 %) of sexual offenders against children meet the criteria (DSM-IV-TR) for pedophilia.
Keep in mind, most pedophiles in the general public never get diagnosed due to stigma, ostracization, and fear of medical torture, so it ends up diagnosed more in criminals.
Also keep in mind the way that telling someone theyre evil is going to likely make them act out, the same way that telling an addict they are doomed to their addiction will make them give into it, or telling a suicidal person they're doomed to a life of misery will make them more likely to kill themself.
These factors also contribute to statistics. Destigmatizing pedophilia means lowering the actual offense rate.

While some people who commit child sexual abuse do seek sexual gratification for the act, other factors such as power and control are also primary motivators. Many people who commit child sexual abuse seek power and control over the children they abuse, especially those who act from a place of opportunity.

Sexual assault is about power and control. It violates not only an individual’s personal integrity, but also their sense of safety and control over their life. Research indicates that while there are many “types” of people who offend sexual violence, with varying etiologies for offending, the underlying motivation of sexual assault is to degrade, humiliate and dominate the victim.

Several studies have analyzed the motivations of assailants in sexual assault. Michael B. King notes that “sexual assault of men has long been recognized as a means used by conquering soldiers to humiliate opponents, as a feature of sexual torture or aggression, or as a sexual outlet in institutions where heterosexual activity is impossible”. He also noted that assailants are predominantly heterosexual and that sexual assault of males perceived to be homosexual is a form of gay bashing. In studies of accounts of both offenders and victims of sexual assault cases, Groth and Burgess argued that assertion of power rather than sexual gratification is the motive in most rapes, including cases of males sexually assaulting other males.
