"This guy must be really good with Pokemon," Whitney thought to herself. Typically, Victoria would have been on alert, unless it was family or a close friend. Even strangers that had presented her with the same offering were usually ignored, unless she was around to give the ok. But the Miltank just happily accepted the man’s affection, rolling herself around the green grass.

Indeed not only was he good with Pokemon, but due to his early years of living amongst them he was also fluent in their languagre and their ways.

"Er, yeah. Must’ve been a really spicy Cheri berry." She lied, attempting to regain her composure. Meanwhile, the Miltank accepted the berry, making sure to leave enough saliva on N’s hand in gratitude. 

"Hmm odd," N did not recall Cheri berries as being too spicy, but perhaps it was a paticular variation this girl took.  N however took little note of it as he found his hand drenched in Saliva and chuckled merrily at the sensation as he laid the Pokemon down and began to lightly massage its gut.

"Mooooo!" The Miltank cried in delight. Whitney, on the other hand, was left flustered when she mistook N’s advances for being directed at her. 

"Haha!  Victoria is it?" N said in delight as he continued to cuddle with the great rollout beast of death and despair for eager trainers.  He even went so far as to nuzzle noses with it.

"Only reliable way—" The trainer cut her own words short and just squinted at him. A very big portion of her wanted to argue that no, she had just explained why boats were near the bottom of the reliability list, but she wasn’t fit for arguing right now. Ness just let it go. Something she was about to do with that Frillish, before he’d whaled into her. Now if only she could just find that Pokeball…

“Waiting for someone were you?” N asked as he lifted his head off the ground and finally got up from his groveling position and turned to face the girl with the odd speech pattern head on.  N honestly didn’t know what to think of her, she seemed both abrupt and awkward especially when it came to the topic of boats and water.  Surely and sadly, N concluded this was likely the first of several odd humans he would meet on his journey

"It seems you’re attempting to achieve the unachievable." Taking a few steps towards him she could now make out his appearance through the dim flames of the torches that hung on the walls. "There are pokemon that can alter the weather with a mere roar, travel through time from century to century, and there are Pokemon… Pokemon with immeasurable power that’ve created this very world. We humans, are indebited to these creatures… And yet they let us stay. They let us build cities with the price of their habitat, and even lets us battle one another with them. I’ve never seen them ask us for anything. The true link between humans and pokemon, I can’t help you with that."

“Alas, I have indeed heard of such great and terrible Pokémon out there that can easily manipulate the natural world we live in as if it were a toy in their hands,” replied the man as he held his chin and mulled over what this stranger had said.  However, he appreciated her knowledge on the topic and valued her reply with great respect and already knew this was no ordinary trainer.  “Hmmph, you say such things are impossible to understand, unachievable really as Pokémon remain such mysterious creatures to us humans correct?  However, I recall in a book I read as a child that once we thought them as savage beasts to be wiped out destroyed, and yet today we coincide almost flawlessly.  Just because something is not in sight, does not mean it doesn’t exist,” replied N as a light smile crept up onto his face and he turned to face the other.

As the last of echos of N’s pleas faded into the nothingness, a stiff silence spread over the room, broken only by the sound of the glimmering comets falling in and out of existence. What was this guy playing at? Although the elite four member had more than a few reservations about trusting this trainer, the trainer that caused the entire Unova region more than enough trouble to last several lifetimes, she couldn’t sense any sort of dishonesty in his heart. Besides, she seriously doubted he would come all this way just to tell a lie that she’d instantly see through anyways. Still trying to decode the odd individual’s true intentions, Caitlin finally spoke up

As much as he wished to avert it at all costs, to avoid setting his eyes upon the dangerous set of the Psychic’s, he knew at this point it was like inevitable.  So with a deep inhale of breath, he finally turned his head slowly until his gaze met hers.  Just being in her presence felt like a great weight was being set upon his shoulders, and now looking at her gaze that feeling was ten-fold and made him practically shiver as if all his mind were an open door for her to violate its contents.  However, N was strong enough from all his encounters with the Psychic type that he could at least keep some things hidden at least for a time.
