God, Love, and Truth

The articles warning you to stay away from dicey relationships are true.Why are they true, you may ask? Why can't your particular situation-ship be different?Because we humans are all wired the same way, men and women. We humans are programmed to seek the "one" that will provide us with love, a sense of security and companionship which includes loyalty and attention. Therefore, if a person is falling short of these basic necessities, there will inevitably be heartache. Some suffer the heartache on different levels of intensity, but there is pain nonetheless. You must understand that aside from your destiny to live your purpose in the form of a career or vocation, your other destiny is to be either completely celibate or find a soul-friend or a soulmate. Yes, there are cases where you are meant to find a soul-friend and not a soul-mate per se. The two can look almost identical...especially is the friend comes in the form of the opposite sex or the sex that you are most attracted to. Nevertheless, there is a need for each person walking the earth to unite with one or more people on their journey for the purpose of experiencing true divine love in the human form. There is too much evidence that proves this is indeed a purpose of the human life. Depression is the leading cause of suicide, and a destruction of relationships and/or some form of security is the cause of depression. Therefore, it is imperative that we take the undertaking of forming relationships seriously. Forming a relationship, especially romantic in nature, is taken so lightly and so many fall into and out of love leaving behind a trail of tears and broken promises, families, hearts and sometimes worse. The best solution to this problem is to detach mentally and physically. Do not allow yourself to "fall" in love so quickly. Give yourself time to know this person and see if they are truly meant to be with you on your journey. And above all else, love yourself, for by doing this, anyone with the same kind of love will be a wonderful match for you...and moreso, you’ll know when you are not being loved divinely.

Solitude for the Soul

Community is a beautiful thing when all the right people and tenets are in harmony. However, if the community is not conducive for growth, enlightenment and freedom it becomes not only a stumbling block but also toxic.

When the latter is your reality, pulling away from that particular group (or person) is what is necessary for any kind of positive growth in you as an individual.

There is this wonderful quote by Picasso that reminds me of the gifts solitude brings, “With great solitude, no serious work is possible.” If you’ve ever spent serious time alone you know this is true.

Some of the biggest mental, emotional, spiritual breakthroughs I’ve had were when I had been spending significant time alone, be it by force or choice. It has always been a blessing in disguise.

There are too many benefits to solitude to write in this short piece, however I will list a few important ones here.

1) Deeper sense of self 2) expands creativity 3) strengthens intuition 4) solidifies bond with the higher power 5) restores health 6) elevates and fortifies your aura 7) creates a peace and contentment.

Think about it this way…it really and truly is… “just another day”. From soup to nuts-salads-deserts can be ordered in or get busy doing it yourself: the kitchen can be fun. WE all are special for just “being”. We must cater to ourselves when the world is busy celebrating lights for a day or a season. We are together in this though separate from it. We are never alone. I see the lights of my neighbor’s tree and the four kids who live there with a single parent, indeed-life goes on. My grocery-deli man never celebrates but he keeps decorations for every season for his customers to enjoy. Every McDonalds decorates for festive seasons for the children to believe–Santa and his helpers, the bunny rabbit and Halloween ghosts are real; if only for a day. We buy ourselves new things all year long as we need them to replace the old…so why not today right NOW- a new shirt or ring… because it really is…just another day…make yours a happy holiday!

Have you ever had a dream where some one or some thing (like an angel) or even God himself was telling you “Don’t be afraid”? Well dear ones, know that that is your spirit guide telling you exactly that. Comfort in the form of a demand in a dream.

You may be apprehensive about an idea, an action, a situation in which you find yourself already in. The message for us is self explanatory…do not be afraid.

And WHY you might ask should you not be afraid? Because the universe evidently is calling you (us) to a higher realm of emotion. One that transcends fear…In order for us to act. Therefore dear ones, I too am here to encourage you and say, “Don’t be afraid”… “Climb higher”… “Take that leap of faith”.

If you believe you will succeed…no matter what happens, the universe will use whatever bad may come from your honest good intentions for the greater good…Someway. Somehow.

Information overload… You have a question..you look for the answer. You get the answer. Great. But now you have another question…or worst, you never get a satisfactory answer to the question you have…so you keep searching endlessly , tirelessly…

Gathering quite a bit if knowledge till you feel completely drained of all your energy. This is information overload.

My advice ( coming from an information-holic)

1) Take information days off: Appoint weekends or two to three days a week you do not search For ANY answers. Write your questions down and put them away for the days you have allowed yourself to indulge in your quest for boundless knowledge.

2) Limit the time searching: Set an alarm for yourself and once the alarm goes off you must stop surfing the internet/ reading that book/ etc. Give yourself a “mental break” and do something else that is more relaxing.

3) Eat the Meat and Spit Out the Bones: When you’re reading a document…try skimming over all the unnecessary information to get to the crust of the message. The more you do this, the better skilled you will become at it.

By just doing these three things, you’ll be in better shape mentally and will restore the energy depleted during your insatiable quest for answers.

“I am not normal…no one I know is like me.”

Why do you hurt yourself this way? Don’t you realize you are a soul? Don’t you know you weren’t born for manufactured goods, clothes, shoes…selfies, Instagram, Facebook, slang, “dopeness”, “sexy” or to fit any label?

Your fingerprint is evidence you’re unique. Your thoughts, personality and what you produce should reflect that uniqueness at all times.

You were not brought into the world so you can be like everyone else. You were not brought into the world so you can be popular or cherished by someone or put on a pedestal. Your purpose is more encompassing than that. The light alone shines so bright it fills the entire universe and you were made from that light…so what do you think you are meant to be? Weary, upset, ignorant, arrogant? No. You’re meant to connect genuinely…and yes, this can hurt. Life on earth is not meant to be easy. There is work involved to align your consciousness with your soul. You’re a unique work in progress.
