It has come to my attention that many people mistake wyverns for dragons, so here’s a post to help you remember

Dragon: 4 legs, 2 wings

Wyvern: 2 legs, 2 wings

Drake: 4 legs, flightless

Wyrms: long snake like body with no appendages, can also appear as a traditional Chinese dragon with 4. Legs and no wings yet can fly

Amphithere: 0 legs 2 wings, can be feathered

Lindwurms: 2 legs, 0 wings, long body

Luck dragon: 4 legs, no wings, can fly, long body, furry with dog like face

Komodo dragon: 4 legs, no wings, real

Bearded dragon: 4 legs, 0 wings, often kept as pets

So I decided to check the EXP yields from the demo to see how correct it was… and I found something else of note too.

I actually believe Bulbapedia’s Gen V experience formula is wrong (slightly; when I say wrong, I mean it ignores rounding and rearranges the terms in the wrong order, so that rounding errors occur - sadly, this is very much a recurring problem with Bulbapedia’s game mechanics articles). poccil (owner of the sadly now-defunct Ultimate Pokémon Center website) posted his version of the formula here; while he doesn’t state there exactly how he found that formula, he usually works by disassembling the actual ROM.

Using his formula while eliminating the trained factor as Corvus suggests gives exactly accurate values for all three existing Pokémon whose experience gain is shown in the demo, assuming current base experience values remain unchanged; I think that’s a pretty strong hint that that’s what’s going on there. Furthermore, it also gives the correct results for both Yungoos if Yungoos’s base experience is 50, 51 or 52 - which as you say makes a lot of sense, because previous regional rodent Pokémon have had 50 or 51 base experience.
