hey so. not even gonna bother with any formatting tbh.

i was feelin pretty ehh for a while there. lots of stress. i kinda left tumblr for a good few months. i’m sorry i didn’t say anything.

i was gonna! but then i kept putting it off. & then my 5 year old laptop finally shit itself-- which is why some of you didn’t even hear from me on skype.

i’m borrowing a friend’s right now.. & i feel a lot better. so, hopefully--- i’ll start writing again!

i missed this. i missed you guys.

    It wasn’t often that Edward Nygma was unsure of himself. But given the circumstances, ( specifically the fact that he was unaware of how he came to be in unfamiliar territory & had no memory of running any new experiments that could possibly land him here, OR of any encounters with the magic users back home who could have PUT him here. ) he was incredibly unsure. Even a little frightened. Not that he’d let it show in anything other than confusion.

He checked himself several times for inconsistencies, but none existed. He was still wearing his green suit. Still had his wallet, his keys, his gun. No new scars or bruises. N o t h i n g . The only difference was his surroundings. & oh, how different they were.

People with colored hair weren’t uncommon in Gotham, but here it seemed EVERYONE had a flair for uniquity. Not to mention the animals. If they even are animals. That’d be the logical assumption, of course, but he’d never in his life seen what appeared to be some sort of mouse, not only incredibly large, but yellow, & able to produce electricity. & that was just one of them.

Most of the people walking around had their faces buried in gadgets. Again, not uncommon in Gotham, but these didn’t look like any cell phone or tablet he’d come across. 

No one payed him any mind. Perhaps they didn’t know who he was... Now, THAT’S new.

Salvation was a sign for a cafe. A little caffeine might help him clear his head. & even if it didn’t, it wouldn’t hurt. 

The Riddler went in to the relatively empty establishment, ordered the equivalent ( he assumed ) of a caramel macchiato, sat, & thought. 

Only the chime of the bells on the door roused the man from his focus. A man. Intense. Seemingly intelligent. A conversation was surely a good idea.
