Katherine sat down on her own futon, frowning as he admitted how he felt about the situation they were in. However, she did speak a little bit about how she felt, too.

“I-I understand… to be honest, I’ve been scared too. L-last night, when those grunts broke into my room, I… I was terrified. I couldn’t go back to sleep because of it. But… What scared me wasn’t what they would do to me—I was more afraid of not having any of my friends around. Being away from the people that make me happy… Scares me.”

“I see…” He took a deep breath, looking her in the eye softly. 

Katherine nodded in agreement before she continued to make her way to her futon.

“Yeah… we both need the rest. That does remind me, though—I was going to ask you earlier today about last night. Honey told me that you looked almost as tired as I did, and I just wanted to ask… A-are you okay?”

Leon faltered as Katherine asked him about how he was feeling, and a sigh left him as he made his way to his futon, sitting down.

Katherine looked back at Leon when he used her nickname, blinking slowly before smiling slightly at him. She found it sweet that he cared about her well being.

“Y-yeah… Just tired, is all. Very tired. I-I’m mostly trying to make sure I get to bed before I pass out. That way, I won’t wake up with a m-migraine…”

Katherine also had two bowls, but that was all she was able to eat. Admittedly, this was the best chicken noodle soup she’d ever had. She’d have to get the recipe from Honey later. After thanking Honey for the food, she excused herself and slowly went to her futon. She seemed exhausted, since she didn’t talk much during dinner at all. Maybe being sick was draining her energy a lot… Plus all of the stress with Team Plasma and such. Regardless, Leon should probably check on her to see if she’s okay.

Leon also thanked Honey for the food and excused himself, hoping to get to sleep early. However, he noticed Katherine going to her futon as well, and he looked towards her.

Katherine finally finished fixing her hair to cover her eye, and looked over at Leon. She couldn’t help but smile back a little.

“W-we should be alright after that soup… and a bit of rest.”

The good news was that Honey was indeed making the chicken noodle soup, which was absolutely delicious, nutritious and easy to eat. The bad news was that Leon and Katherine definitely needed bedrest after catching colds in the rain.

Katherine checked to see if her hair had dried enough, and it had by this point. So she sat up, beginning to fix her hair to cover her eye as she talked to Leon.

“I-I feel warm, but cold at the same time… a-and I feel a little bit dizzy,” she admitted. Her cheeks were a little bit flushed, probably from a fever.

Leon offered Katherine a reassuring smile, his cheeks also flushed from a new fever as he sat up as well. 

Katherine sighed softly and sunk down into her futon. She was glad that Sonia didn’t see her scar at all, that was way too close for comfort. She shivered a bit more, trying to get comfortable under the blanket.

“Ugh… h-how are you feeling, Lee? Hopefully better than me?”

Leon looked towards Katherine as she sunk into her futon, offering her a light grin.

When Katherine realized Sonia was there, she quickly grabbed a tissue before hiding underneath her blanket again. She whined as she heard her say to stay there, knowing that this was going to be pretty boring.

“I don’t wanna stay in bed though…”

Sonia sighed as she heard Katherine whine.

“I know you don’t want to stay in bed, but if you do, you’ll probably recover quicker…and same goes for you, Leon.”

“Will there be chicken noodle soup?” Leon couldn’t help but ask. “I remember Honey making really good soup…”
