She shook her head, cerulean curls lightly tussling about. ‘Us?’ she thought. ‘Does he mean… Does he mean our relationship?’ Her mind and heart raced. She couldn’t believe it!
Wait, did he just say he also had feelings for her? He wanted clarification? She thought they were supposed to make things crystal clear between herself, Gray, and Lyon, but Gray escaped the conversation before she could let the fairer haired ice mage down. She paused after his question, taking a few seconds to gather her words. “Gray-sama,” she began, “At first, Juvia thinks it could have been just infatuation. Gray-sama was the first person to acknowledge me as a person and not as a weapon. And you helped me see the clear sky for the first time in my life, so I wash very grateful to you for that. But the more Juvia spent time with you, the more I realized it was more than just infatuation or admiration. I realized it when I fought Meredy. You are someone I want to stand side by side with, someone I want to protect, someone… Someone I love!” She didn’t realize she had begun to breathe a little harder, but while she spoke, she became hyper aware of just how much she truly cared for the ice mage. Her hands covered her cheeks in embarrassment. Sure, she made here fawning over him obvious, but she never outright told him she loved him before. “I-it’s so much more than I can explain. Just, that, when I look at you, I get this feeling in my chest that makes it hurt and feel good at the same time,” she said while clinging to the fabric over her heart. She had to break eye contact with him, she feared she spilled out too much, thinking she might have overwhelmed him with her sudden confession.
Gray sighed in relief, "I wasn't sure what I'd expected you to say, but I'm glad it was that." He smiled softly at the blue haired mage, "I hate to admit it, but the last thing I wanted was you being taken away, and Lyon started to worry me..."
He approached Juvia, gently grasping the hand hiding her face and sliding it down to his chest, "I realize you may be nervous, but my heart is racing the same as yours. I want you to know I feel the same, That I also care about you deeply. I want to stand and protect you too, keep you from any pain, any misfortune that may befall you."
"Juvia, I know I ask a lot of you, sometimes even to much, but I only do this because there is no one I trust to better get something done. I even trust you with my life." cocking one arm back he scratched his head, "Now with all this beating around the bush I want to do this properly. Juvia, would you like to go to dinner with me?"

Honeybone Lodge, while nice, wasn’t her style. It reminded her too much of the Phantom Lord guild, what with its skeletal imagery, even if it was dolled up to look a little cuter and less frightening.
Juvia glanced around Fairy Tail A’s quarters. Gray had asked her to stop by for a chat - she assumed it was regarding the Batsu Game Master had offered up to the B Team. Or it might have been regarding the suspicious members of Raven Tail.
So she sat inside the bedroom on someone’s bed, alone. Lucy and Natsu were off doing who knew what. Erza was possibly discussing information with Mys—Jellal, and Elfman was either with his sisters or with the Thunder God Tribe’s lone female member. Her posture straightened when she heard the door creak open. A familiar mop of blue-black hair came within her line of sight, but what caught her attention first was his thumb pressing into the knob, locking it.
The locked door fascinated and puzzled her.
With a comforting click, Gray felt the conversations would have relative privacy. Though any guild member could just break it down, as long as it wasn't Natsu, he felt comfortable no one would.
Turning around he thought over what he had to say to Juvia. This talk... he thought to himself, I've avoided it for to long. But with all the things going on, Lyon's advances, this silly batsu game, Erza getting on my case, its time to face reality.
"Juvia," he began "I think we need to talk about us." He paused to think about how he wanted to word this, "I realize you have a deep infatuation with me, and I can't deny that I also have feelings for you, but I'm in a strange spot... I need to know that this isn't just some fling, some stupid childish strive to achieve something."
"I'm sure this might seem sudden but I don't think there is any more time for this back and forth we had." After a second or two, Gray exhaled, "Wow, I'm sorry... That was a bit blunt and rude of me, wasn't it?"
