One thing Xdinary Heroes are going to do is engage in some roleplay

On my fifth Backrooms re-watch, I had the thought that it is possible the kitchen scene was the first time Mary had ever raised her voice (maybe even cursed) at someone. On one hand, she wasn't a talker when she was little due to her living circumstances, and as an adult, she seemed so contained inside herself, repressed, a bit anxious, still quiet due to living alone. I could be wrong, but the way she yelled is like that of someone who just found the courage to speak out for themselves for the first time, so the delivery is a little awkward, a little choked, but from the gut. Totally unrestrained. She barely breathed until she was done. On the other hand, perhaps it's not a first for her. It could be that up until the roleplay, her tone had always been very mild and professional since we only heard her talk during her sessions with Clark. So when she snapped, it was unexpected. I don't know. Either way, it's an interesting detail to think about.
