anyway i am so charmed and tickled by this dialogue for several reasons one being this just. straight up sounds to me like morrigan is romantically jealous and zevran has clocked it. like morrigan is v clearly not getting in the warden's good graces bc she needs protection. she's also not working v hard to get in anybody's good graces. zevran might not know this, but she's spending the entire game thinking v hard abt the dark ritual and staring a hole in the back of both wardens' heads and maybe even going 'i bet i could bring this up. casually. and it would be fine.'

but i'd like to think that the reason she doesn't is bc she has to figure out a cool way to do it and there is no cool way to say 'if you want to live, somebody's gonna have to knock me up.' she's forthright enough abt other matters that if she had no emotional stake and just thought both wardens are dumbasses, she'd tell them in the most condescending way possible to cover her own nerves abt it, but while she spends a great deal of time sexually harassing sten, when she's not the aggressor, she rly gets flustered v easily. zevran being the person to fuck with her on purpose and then immediately yank the rug out from under her, teenage romcom style. YOU TOLD ME ALL THAT STUFF ABT HOW HOT I AM AS A BET?

but you've also got zevran being like oh we're not so different you and i. which is funnier if he's clocked morrigan becoming deeply attached to the warden bc obv he hasn't, this is all abt sexy hands and bedroom eyes. what else would they have in common? again, morrigan is not going out of her way in the way zevran is to ingratiate herself to the warden! and it's also funny to me that the example of a justification he reaches for is patriotism. it's a crows thing and an antivan thing and also a patently ridiculous thing to say to morrigan especially and if he wanted to rly trip her up, he's demonstrated he can do that. but he says this as if it's some cool line instead of baffling. like he's slipped up and told a joke that would kill back in antiva and instead the reaction he gets is '........okay?'
