Berik & Marco: Lost and Found
As the person on the other side gave him the address, Marco quickly scrawled it down on a piece of paper. He was eager to get his cat back, seeing as that was the closest thing to a roommate he had. That and there were times he worried that Spartaās intelligence (or lack there of) would cause trouble somehow. Constant struggle, really.
"Thatās not too far from where I live," Marco said, grabbing his keys. He held his phone to his ear as left his apartment, locking it up. "Iāll be right over. And thanks so much for keeping him grounded for the time being. Iām glad heās behaved himself." Marco grabbed the cat crate by the door and began walking down the street to the strangerās address.
A lot of the worry and stress that was on Marcoās mind was soon dissolved. Granted, he still had the struggle of lugging Sparta all the way back home. Maybe the excitement would give the poor cat a heart attack. Marco didnāt know, and the possibilities of that were slim, so he tried not to think of the worst things that could happen.
Yes, it was best to just think of it as positively as he possibly could. Things werenāt going downhill, and he was thankful for that.
"Ah, as I said, it's really not problem at all," Berik smiled, even though he knew the man couldn't see it through the phone. "I'll just wait for you to get here and make sure he doesn't escape." He picked up the cat and walked over to the fridge, grabbing the milk carton before pouring some into a tiny dish. Supposedly cats were lactose intolerant, or so Berik had heard, but Sparta seemed to be happily lapping it up with his tongue so he figured he shouldn't worry.
Within ten minutes, he heard a loud knock on the door and opened it up to seem a somewhat short, dark haired male with a splash of freckles across his face. "You're looking for Sparta, right? Well come on in! Is there anything I can get you? Besides your cat I mean." Ā
