Drinking Pink Rabbits

She nudges you with her foot. “Come on, what are you hiding?”

“Nothing.” You laugh and only sounds a little defensive. “Promise.”

She sets her laptop to the side and crawls towards you on all fours. You can hear the blood rushing in your ears and you know you’re definitely blushing now. You try to sit up, pushing your legs out towards her in the process.

You’re convinced she’s just going to come try and tickle it out of you or something, but your heart is still beating wildly out of your chest. Except she doesn’t. Everything seems to have slowed down as she hovers over you. Your stomach flips, equal parts uncertainty and desire. You can’t help but glance down at her lips, slightly parted, a ghost of a smile.

You swallow, frozen.

She’s slow to close the distance. Taking her time to brush her lips softly against yours before finally kissing you. It’s so impossibly sweet. Like she’s holding your hand and walking you through it.

No thoughts now just the feel of her lips. Your hand reaches up to hold her waist, fingers sliding across the warm skin where her shirt has ridden up. Soon the other follows, cupping the side of her neck and pulling her in deeper.

Before long she’s pulling away and you instinctively follow, but her hand presses to the center of your chest keeping you there as she sits back and straddles your hips.

You just stare at each other, smiling.

“How’d you know?” You finally ask.

“With way you look at me? It would be hard to be as oblivious as you are to what it does to me.”

“Yeah?” You ask, resting your hands on the tops of her thighs.

“Yeah,” she says, tugging you forward by the front of your shirt into another kiss.
