I’ve been wondering why did Louis decide to go all in this year considering he didn’t even do thus on 10 years anniversary of the band and yeah I’m pretty sure it’s because of Li. I think he feels guilty somehow for whatever reason for what happened to him and this is his way of getting back to him and keeping his memory alive, I suppose. He barely acknowledged 1D anniversary the last three years so yeah. But as you said I feel a certain type of way for this being a reason and about him speaking on Li in general because even tho he obviously struggled I don’t like how Louis just brushed it all off and started acting like Li was the most pure person in the world. I guess it’s his coping mechanism as well but I still feel weird about it and I feel weird how directioners don’t even hide that they only love Louis when he acknowledges the band and otherwise they care less about him as an individual. It’s really sad when you think too deep about it sigh
I agree with everything you said. Ik this will ruffle some feathers but I truly think he's only being THIS publicly sappy bc of Iiam and trying to keep his good memory alive. Hell, he even mentioned him in his tweet. Like you said, he wasn't even in his feelings this much on their 10th anniversary, and we were in quarantine back then 😭. Directioners are here for the occasional 1D mention and their scavenger hunts for (non existent) Larry proofs, only. You've seen the stupid reasons they tried to cancel him for lately 🙄. And unfortunately, his sappiness about the band (as much as he has a right to it and as endearing as it is) doesn't help getting rid of these people, they'll be even more annoying after this 🙂
