archie andrews is one of the best characters ever to grace the face of television because my friends on the riverdale writing team took the archetype of suburban boy next door hometown sweetheart and made him into a greek tragedy who had his innocence robbed from him and lived and died in the endless pursuit of heroism and pride without ever being able to actually achieve it because the pride he sought came from a dead man and the role models he adopted were using him and he never believed himself good enough for the love and support of his friends and his pursuit of heroism resulted in him getting hurt over and over and over again while resorting to increasingly violent and desperate means to an end before getting trapped in the narrative purgatory that accompanies his archetype and suburbia setting

They are on a school road trip with like ten other kids who have no idea what the fuck is going on.
