Hey guys! Today I wanna talk to you a bit about the website I use to buy Lolita (and other) stuff from Japan. Itās called ZenMarket! You can visit their website here: http://zenmarket.jp/
What is ZenMarket? Much like the other shopping services Lolitas often use like From Japan, Japonica Market, and Shopping Mall Japan, ZenMarket allows you to buy goods from Japan at shops that donāt otherwise ship to your country. What kinds of shops can ZenMarket be used for? ZenMarket is unique in that it can be used for ANY online shop in Japan. I can buy Beyblade stuff from Amazon, cool cute clothes from DreamV on Rakuten, and a headdress from Angelic Pretty Japan and still have all my items shipped together in one parcel. I can bid on items from Yahoo!Japan and mbok, too! Why is ZenMarket superior to other shopping services Iāve used? Thereās a whole host of reasons ā let me break it down for you: 1. Their fee is only 300 yen per item. No joke, whether your item is 2,500 yen or 200,000 yen, youāre only paying 3 bucks in shopping service fees. Nuts, right? 2. They allow you to very easily control the value your parcel is marked at. This is very important for someone like me, who lives in Canada and deals often with exorbitantly high customs fees. 3. Even if your parcel is marked down, their internal insurance will actually still cover loss or damage for the original value. This is so incredible that I donāt even think it needs further elaboration. I have never used a service with such a stellar insurance policy before. 4. They do not charge a fee for items being held in their warehouse too long. You can wait a few weeks (or even months, I think) before getting your parcels consolidated and shipped to you! Consolidation can be such a headache with other services, where you have a time limit to put your parcels together. Are there any cons to Zenmarket? There are a couple to keep in mind: 1. When you add money to your ZenMarket wallet, you have to pay a small, percentage-based fee. This annoys some people, but think of it as covering the a paypal fee when you send money to your other shopping services. Itās not great, but itās fair, since that service is buying items on your behalf and not their own. 2. You sometimes need permission to bid on items from certain Yahoo!Japan Auctions sellers. The ZenMarket auction bidding system is automatic and you control it yourself. Because ZenMarket never does the bidding for you, some sellers are blocked due to having negative, neutral, or not enough feedback. If you encounter this problem, you need to request ZenMarketās permission to unblock that seller. This restriction is a little rough, because their filter is too strong: even closetchild, one of Japanās largest secondhand retailers of Harajuku fashion, is sometimes blocked by that filter. I have sent ZenMarket feedback about this issue before. The bad news bottom line is, if your auction is ending soon, your unblock request may not go through in time for you to bid on that item. Thatās about all I have to say about this super cool shopping service that you should give a try! If you have any questions about ZenMarket, feel free to send me a message or an ask.Ā ć½(ļ½Ā“āļ½ļ½)ļ¾
