THE COLLISION BROUGHT a lot of strange people to gotham, but this one seemed to be gunning for first place in selinaâs eyes. this one was dressed as aâŠRED DEVIL? she wasnât quite sure if he was supposed to be one of the BAD or the GOOD guys. sheâs more than a little frustrated that the guy the devilâs beating has information for her but the cat was curious as to what he would do next. by the time heâs done with her man, sheâs dying to get an exclusive with THE DEVIL. she places her hands in the air as if she surrender for arrest before moving out of her shadowed corner. âhate to be a drag, mr. devil, but i needed something from that man and now youâve gone and scared him offf. i hope youâre willing to repay his debt.â she leans forward a bit and lowers her voice to a whisper, âyou know gothamâs known for itâs bats, right? not really sure where a DEVIL fits in there.â
Mattâs eyebrows raised a bit behind his mask at the womanâs words. âOh yeah?â What kind of âsomethingâ did you need from him?â He asked, crossing his arms over his chest. âIâm not going to agree to repaying any kind of âdebtâ without knowing what it is that was so important that you needed it from him firstâ Truthfully this woman was hard for Matt to get a read on, although from what he could tell, it wasnât particularly surprising; it seemed like sheâd been doing this for awhile now. Nonetheless, it was a bit frustrating that he couldnât really tell whether she had good or bad intentions; something he could usually pick up almost immediately based on heart rate and tone of voice. At her comment about bats in Gotham, Matt couldnât help but chuckle a bit, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. âYeah well Iâm not from Gotham. Iâm from Hellâs Kitchen in New York City. Hence, The Devilâ He said with a nod and a small smirk. âBut I have to say, I donât think thereâs ever been a city more befitting of The Devil than Gotham. This may be The Batâs city, but I think I fit in here just fineâ

elektra had been travelling with the hand â not to her consent of course, well it was but she wasnât quite [ herself. ] ever since the hand had took her in, done their rituals - she felt different,NEW in a way that she couldnât quite explain. sheâd given right into the hand, became their  L E A D E R ;; THE BLACK SKY as she had so pushed away from times before. although her sudden change in demeanor, she just couldnât push her right mind of one thing. that thing being matthew murdock. a pretentious looking smirk had taken the girlâs lips as she watched over the red leathered male. elektra had gotten word that he was looking for her assassins, she figured what this was - just another pitstop to try and get information on where the group had been hiding out. what better way to put an end to this then giving him a visit herself?? she thought before taking it up with a few other members. the female had been placed in her own outfit - black cloth hanging tightly against her tanned skin. blood red handkerchief covering up the skin right under her nose and down to her chest. brown eyes followed the fearful criminal as he ran off into the night. elektra pushed off the brick wall sheâd currently been observing from a little flair attached to her walk. â hello, matthew. â
For a moment he tried hard not to let himself believe what he had just heard. After all, Elektra was dead, so there was no way that she could be here now. And yet, even as he tried to convince himself that this had to be some kind of trick, some sort of trap, Matt couldnât shake the feeling that this was really happening. The problem with heightened sense was, even when you knew you shouldnât let yourself believe something, there was no hiding from the truth. As hard as it was to accept, as much as it completely went against everything he had ever known about the world, Elektra was here. There was no doubt something different about her though. Something had changed, because he had not been able to identify her until he had heard her speak. Her scent, the sound of her heartbeat, everything about her was different from the way he had known her. For a long time, Matt was silent as he tried to grasp the fact that the love of his life, the dead love of his life, had come back to him. âHow-How long have you...been alive?â He asked finally, his voice soft though his body was rigid, his instincts insisting that he be on the ready just in case. After all, this may have been Elektra , but there was definitely something different about her, which very well might mean that she wasnât the same Elektra he had known. Especially if The Hand had somehow been involved in this mysterious resurrection as Matt suspected they might be.

jerome wandered into an alley, in which he found another so-called GOOD GUY saving the day and beating on a BAD GUY. at least, thatâs what he could infer from the use of words like never hurt anyone, stop their sins, etc. pretty BORING if youâd ask jerome. what was so bad about being âBADâ anyway? evil was just a point of view right?
the ginger clapped his hands together, taking big, long steps to the other with much confidence. he wasnât intimidated; he LOVED a good fight. his infamous grin appeared on his face before he began to speak. âIMPRESSIVE! i think yaâ just worked WONDERS on that guy! even though itâs a lilâ dark outside, i SWEAR i saw the fear in his eyes! HA!â jerome congratulated before continuing. âbut if i were you, thereâd be just a FEW things iâd change.â
There was something dangerous in the maleâs tone, something off putting and unsettling, and it made the hair on the back of Mattâs neck stand up. He wasnât intimidated, and he definitely wasnât afraid; he hadnât gotten the moniker The Man Without Fear for nothing after all. But he was going to pay as much attention to the maleâs bodily signs as he could, paying especially close attention for any changes in his heart beat to indicate an oncoming attack.
âOh yeah? And just what would those be?â Matt asked, careful to keep his tone even and free of hostility; after all this was just a kid, and if this didnât have to turn into a fight, then he didnât want it to. âLook, you really shouldnât be in this neighborhood at this time of night kid. itâs a dangerous place. Why donât you head on home?â He added, hoping to use reason to convince this boy from doing something regrettable.

Having spotted the very man himself on a nearby rooftop, dressed to the nines, new thermal vision upgrades in his cowl and everything, Bruce made his way over as quickly as he could, not wanting the man to run. He had however, heard enough about the man to know that Daredevil himself would probably be already expecting him by the time he reached him. âItâs funny, myself and Miss Jones were talking about you only the other day.â
Of course Matt had heard the man approaching, but there was no desire in him to flee. He couldnât be sure until the man got a bit closer, but Matt had a strong suspicion that his visitor was a man he had been wanting to meet since shortly after he had first arrived in Gotham. Sure enough, his suspicions were confirmed once the man was only a rooftop away from him, when he was close enough for Matt to use his other senses beyond his sense of hearing to paint a clearer picture in his head, leaving no doubt in his mind that this was in fact The legendary Batman himself. When The Bat finally reached the rooftop and spoke to him, Matt smirked a bit at his words. He wasnât really surprised that Jessica Jones had been talking about him; after all the two of them were from the same place, though oddly, had never actually had a run in with each other before. Still, that wasnât particularly relevant to the conversation he was presently having; there were more important things to worry about and consider. âOh yeah? You know what else is funny? You canât go anywhere in this city without hearing someone mentioning youâ Matt replied with a small chuckle. âIâve heard it from a lot of the thugs that you and I have a similar style. They say I remind them of you. Which is kind of why Iâve been wondering for awhile when our paths would cross. I knew it was only a matter of when, and not if. I mean, I could have sought you out, but from what I hear about how you operate, I didnât think that would be the best way to go about things. I also figured it wasnât really necessary, because I knew you would probably seek me out before long anywayâ Matt paused briefly as he nodded his head, before he reached his hand out in offering. âIâm Daredevil. But if everything Iâve heard about you is true, than you probably already knew that, and a whole lot moreâ

âI swear the next person who runs into me is getting a broken jaw.âÂ
âUh yeah, sorry. Guess that was my bad. I should have been more careful; paid more attention. But please donât break my jaw. Then my smile will be all crooked, and it will be harder to charm people, and Iâll lose clients, and the whole thing will just turn into a big messâ
When Matt had first come to Gotham after the dimensional crash, it had only been in pursuit of The Hand, who had fled there almost immediately after the event. Heâd had every intention of returning to Hellâs Kitchen once he was done with dealing with the shadowy organization of ninjas, but it had only taken a short amount of time being in Gotham for him to realize that wasnât going to happen. Hellâs Kitchen had itâs problems, but thanks to his work as Daredevil over the last year, the people there were in no immediate danger. But Gotham, even with all of itâs heroes, was still an extremely dangerous place, which meant it was where Matt felt he was most needed, and that it was where he would stay until that was no longer true.
It had been a busy night for The Devil of Hellâs Kitchen, now The Devil of Gotham. He had been in search of The Hand, but so far, had not had any luck in finding them. However in his search, he had prevented several crimes from being done by common criminals, including the mugger he had just laid out, who he now held tight against a brick wall. âListen to me very carefully, youâre not going to hurt anyone ever again. Thatâs not a request, it is a demand, and trust that if you choose not to obey it, I will know, and I will come for you, and the beating that I just gave you will be nothing compared to the one youâll get next time. Now, what you are going to do, is youâre going to go around to all of your criminal friends, and youâre going to tell them that The Devil has arrived in Gotham, and if they know whatâs good for them, theyâll stop with their sins, because if they donât, The Devil will come for them.â He paused for a moment to listen to the heartbeat and breathing of a lingering presence nearby that he surprisingly, hadnât heard approach, before he continued. âDo you understand everything I just told you?â He concluded, waiting for the thug to nod, before he released him from his grip. Now turning to the lingerer, Matt was silent as he waited for them to say something about what they wanted, or why they were here.
