Not like, stopped, stopped.

I still wrote letters,

but didn't write nearly

with nearly as much heart.

I still wrote notes,

but they faded away, soulless husks.

I'm not sure why I stopped

truly writing.

I used it as a coping mechanism for so long.

Then I didn't need to cope anymore.

Now when I think about writing,

I feel as out of practice

as if I'm trying to seduce someone.

I've two left hands.

Not literally, but it feels so foreign.

I miss it.

I miss it the way I used to miss music.

Music has been back in my life for over a year now

and I think the cobwebs are finally gone.

Maybe it's time to come back to the other half

of my creative self

and remind her how to knit those pieces

back together.
