There’s a bright side to every wrong thing If you’re looking at me through the right eyes
Name: Medusa || Maddie Age: ~26 || Ancient Profession: Model
Biography:
In her original life, Medusa was a mortal woman, though she was the daughter of gods and sister of monsters. A beautiful young woman, she attracted the attention of Poseidon. She loved him, and believed he loved her in return. But when they lay in the temple of Athena, the goddess took offence. Medusa was punished, cursed to become a monster. Her hair turned to snakes, her gaze able to turn those who looked directly at her to stone. Poseidon left with only a “I can’t--”.
Medusa would be slayed by the hero Perseus, sent on a quest to kill the mortal Gorgon and aided by multiple gods who blessed him with gifts.
As part of the curse from the Fates, Medusa found herself reborn with her memories. A second chance. Unlike many of the others who remember, she has no quarrel with the Fates about the curse. She does not care for the gods--they did not care for her after all, and some had aided in her death--and so how the curse affects them does not worry her. Instead, she views this as an opportunity. She can be mortal again, beautiful again, she could have a life she had never had. So she hides her knowledge, pretending not to have the memories of the past, ignoring the attempts to break the curse. Let them forget, let them lose their powers. Her anger and spite would fuel her to seize a new life, and enjoy watching them lose theirs.
