Like Hailstorm ends up still stuck in the Ice Kingdom with an identity disorder, probably made worse by the fact that everyone knows he didn’t actually kill Winter and therefore cheated and doesn’t actually deserve his rank. The sudden pressure of everyone’s high expectations of you suddenly dropping once you come back “different” is one hell of a POV book.

Icicle is still in freaking jail awaiting trial, whatever that may mean. Traumatized out of her mind because she not only failed in retrieving her brother, but was also just being manipulated by Scarlet into doing her bidding, telling her that if she failed she was just going to kill her brother and make her watch?! Plus she sorta killed someone innocent, and maybe coming to terms and accepting that guilt would be a nice ending if Tui absolutely had to keep her in jail.

And Winter is just…there i guess?! He was completely abandoned by both friends and family. Said friends don’t even trust him enough to tell him the truth about DS and in fact isolate him because he’s prone to outbursts which are in all honesty kinda justified. Snowfall sorta grants him his prince status but what does that even do? He is still just an outcast to his tribe and everybody probably hates him for breaking one of their longest standing traditions. I wished book 14 wasn’t strictly tied to Snowfall and maybe co-split between her and Winter’s perspective. And for fucks sake Tui, why was Snowfall the one that broke the rankings and not the dragon that was most affected by them?!

Like is this really the end of their story??

And not even just those simple ones! I am brimming with ideas on what next could be done with them.

Including a potential Winter v Hailstorm Public Diamond Trial Forced Rematch, where Winter wins (Hailstorm lives, but takes Winter’s exile) and takes Hailstorm spot as a “sacrifice”, using his power to free Icicle but ending up all alone in the Ice Kingdom as result. (Hey, at least this one is way cooler and in character)

Icewings:

-All Icewings grow fur around the time they turn 7 except for the Royal family as they specifically bred for them to no longer grow fur just to look different.

-Because of this, fur in the Ice Kingdom is considered a symbol of poverty and as such 5th circles and above regularly shave to look more like the Royal family.

-Only those in the 7th and 6th circle keep their fur as looking “clean” is the least of their concerns as they try to survive the harsh winters of the Ice kingdom.

Mudwings

-In contrast to the Icewings ,and a reason as to why they dislike each other is that, Mudwings consider fur a quite attractive trait for dragons.

-Due to Mudwing culture being centered around Sibling-hood, those who lost their winglet are usually outcasts who band together in adoptive families.

-An exception to this is the Queen who in order the secure that title ,has to kill all their competitive siblings and disown the other ones to be the “last dragon standing”.

-This ritual is done not as a way to get rid of competition,but as a way for the Queen to strengthen her resolve and show the tribe that she is everyone’s “Bigwings”.

Nightwings

-In the physical sense, Nighwings are some of the weakest tribes overall in strength due their genetic traits being centered mostly around stealth and swiftness.

-Because of this Nightwings are the most intelligent tribe overall as they had to find ways to to somehow beat their opponents without any muscle.

-This is why you can name any tool a dragon may use and chances are that thing was created by a Nightwing.

-Their fire is also more smoke than fire and as that allows them to make smokescreens to hide in and attack/run away.

Skywings

-Skywings have the most powerful fire of all dragon tribes.

-They also have the fastest wing speeds and stamina of any dragon tribe.

-Their biggest downside however is that that also makes them extremely clunky on land and bad at any on-land battles.

-This causes most Skywing communities to set up “Floating” towns in which ropes are set up from mountain to mountain in valleys and food stands, markets, and other town services are hung from those ropes so that Skywings can spend most of the time flying.

-They also have similar Royal culture to that of the Icewings due to Queen Scarlet overriding the previous system and making it into a hyper competitive landscape just to make better warriors.

Seawings

-Most Seawing communities are situated around coral as reefs as they offer the most delicious food.

-Other communities settle in deeper areas for as their individual sizes grew too big.

-A rule of thumb that arises out of that is the deeper a Seawing settles, the bigger they are with some theorizing of a “Leviathan” at the deepest part of the ocean.

-This Leviathan is in fact real and is an ancient pre-scorching dragon who is currently in hibernation for the hopeful long foreseeable future.

Rainwings

-Before the scorching, the rainwings actually held the Nightwing’s title of the assassin dragons as conditions back then made their camouflage a valuable service for killings.

-However nobody really knows why after the Scorching they transitioned to the lazy tribe of today as they forgot to keep track of their history.

-There are still some Rainwings who have kept their assassin profession and are still active today, but nobody knows that as all their crimes are always perpetrated by “another” tribe.

Sandwings

-Some Sandwing communities live underground as they didn’t want to deal with the burning sun.

-Some others prefer to live atop mountains sparkled sparely across the desert.

-This makes Sandwings one of the most diverse tribes of the continent as every Sandwing is different due to their harsh living conditions requiring fast adaptation.

-They also have the highest Inter-tribe breeding with other tribes as most Sandwings are not all picky with their mates.
