I’m pretty sure you’re right that Matt is bisexual but guess what? Our identities DO NOT shield us from doing something wrong. I’m bisexual too and yet if I create something that kills a gay character I’ve  engaged in BYG despite my identity. I know Matt’s track record with LGBTQ characters/ support for real people. You’re not telling me anything I don’t know.

Also I never said that Matt killed Molly becuase he’s queer. The definition I gave of BYG also doesn’t say that a character has to be killed because they are queer. The simple act of killing a queer character falls under BYG.

I do watch Talks Machina. I did watch this past one and I’ve had nothing to say about Taliesin deciding to let Molly stay dead - besides pointing out that his decision to do so is not what is being discussed here. I understand why Molly not coming back makes sense. I agree with what Matt and Taliesin said on Talks Tuesday but that doesn’t change the facts and the facts are Matt made a decision to kill Molly instead of doing something else to him and in previous episodes he avoided killing another character despite the character’s decisions landing them in that position.

I know Matt’s upset. Again…I don’t think Matt is some horrible monster with no feelings that is out to get the community. I’m just pointing out the facts. Like I love Matt and I don’t think people should be shitting on him but voicing your issues with what he’s chosen to do does not have to be synonymous with shitting on him.

The cast of Person of Interest was 2/5 queer. Are you saying that if Reese had been bisexual, Root’s death would have been fine? OITNB’s cast is at least half queer. I guess Poussey’s death wasn’t BYG either. 4/5 of TAZ Balance’s romances were queer. That must mean Sloane and Hurley’s deaths were totally fine too.

According to TVTropes: 

The trope does, however, have substantially less impact in a Cast Full of Gay or a cast equal in LGBT characters and straight characters.

A trope that has less impact is still a trope.

Additionally, the number of other queer characters in the cast doesn’t make much difference if the character who died was the only one with their specific identity. Unless you can point me to several other nonbinary main characters and several other bi main characters, you can’t fall back on this argument.  “There’s still a cis lesbian tho!!” doesn’t make a difference when the character who died was the only bi character and the only nonbinary character in the cast.

So I wanna preface this by saying I love Critical Role and the cast and for the most part the fandom (lots of good art work and content etc etc) I’m more than likely gonna be watching until it ends if it ever does.

That being said you know what bothers me? Whenever something less than stellar happens on the show and people are rightfully upset about and people point out that since the show is now televised they are beholden to certain stuff since they have a large audience the general reaction is:

“!!!!! NO! They aren’t beholden to anything!! THis is THEIR GAME!! WE ARE JUST LUCKY TO WATCH”

And like yeah it’s great that we get to watch I am glad that they decided to take it public bur….they get paid to do this. Like in that respect they are just like any other show. At it’s bare  bones this is a consumer relationship at this point and people that produce stuff for consumers are beholden to them at certain points.

Now I’m not saying that they have to do/listen to every single thing we could ever want and all that because that’s not fun but some stuff since they decided to go live and make this a consumer relationship needs to be done/listened to.

Let’s talk real quick.

So last week (July 12, 2018) on Critical Role (Campaign 2 Episode 26) Mollymauk Tealeaf a bisexual gender fluid Tiefling Bloodhunter played by Taliesin Jaffe (who is also bisexual) was killed during an encounter.

The Official “Log Off” Protest F.A.Q! 

The “Log Off” protest is in response to the recent NSFW ban announced by Tumblr. The ban flags all content the filtering system detects as NSFW, reducing visibility to the community. The system has proven time and time again that is inefficient, oftentimes flagging SFW material as NSFW. 

This SFW material includes art, memes and so on. This ban directly hurts the community and will not solve the actual problems at hand due to the poor flagging system. Because of this, the entire community will suffer.  

So to respond, I propose that every user on Tumblr logs off of Tumblr for 24 hours on December 17th at 12 am EST.

and that’s why there were so many romantically coded klance scenes even tho they werent endgame. that’s why they watched a fucking sunset together in season 8. the rest of the crew KNEW what the fuck was up.

and i dont wanna hear any fucking bullshit from klance haters about klancers “making this up” because we’re “too pathetic to let go of klance.” you know why?

because the user over on twitter who’s spilling all this tea is the same user who knew pre-season 7 that Adam was going to die and warned us all about it, and also the same user who was involved in the s8 leaks which turned out to be real.

this person has NEVER been wrong about behind the scenes shit theyve spilled about the show in the past. they’ve always been right

so basically klance was originally supposed to be endgame and then they changed gears after s3, but some of the artists and writers continued to create romantic coded klance scenes because they KNEW that was supposed to be where it was going originally.

no wonder tim hedrick wrote all the goddamn klance episodes then said “fuck this shit i quit” and left after writing the fued. everything after s3 was such a confusing trainwreck because they couldnt decide where they wanted to take it. thats why we have allurance and klance romantic scenes both after s3. I woulda got my ass out of there too. i stan exactly one (1) vld writer and his name is tim.
