I will chase what I love even if it kills me.

I want to love a life of fulfillment. I wish nothing more than to be happy and healthy. These are my guiding principles. They encompass so much. By following that simple criteria I make lots of different decisions about the direction of my life. Moving towards fulfillment and peace.

And, oh, how I find myself being pleasantly surprised by your warmth. You read my mind. You feel like warm honey running down the back of my throat. You’re sleepy time tea and a kiss on the cheek.

Now the storage space on my phone is more important to me than the pictures of us together.

I put my whole heart into the things I love. It doesn’t always fit. Hopefully this time is different.

Why is it the darkest places appeal to me so much? The scenes of drab wastelands, expanses of crumbling overgrown concrete. Quiet and alone, the air smells fresher than it use to. Water slowly breaking down the skyscrapers and city streets, making little rivers and streams. Why has this always captured my imagination?

I hate how tempting it is to reply to you and just see what you want but I imagine it’ll just hurt more.

I remember we watched Lala Land together, we cried and held each other. I wondered if one day we’d end up like that. Still full of love for each other but unable to be together, or soured. Sad.
