your f/o doesn't think it's annoying when you forget things

if you can't even remember today at all, that's fine. they'll sit and explain it to you to help jog your memory while holding you hand.

they don't force you to remember important dates. they don't get offended if you forget your anniversary (if you have one) because love is so much more than remembering a date.

if they ask you something simple like what you had for dinner last night and you start racking your brain for answers but come up short, they don't get irritated or act like you're doing it on purpose. they understand that you don't remember and reassure you that you aren't worth anything less to them because of your memory.

even if it's something important like a password or a descriptor of someone that hurt you, they are not mad whatsoever. f/o understands that you're trying your hardest.

you and f/o bickering about something and one of you gets really heated about it, trying to say a complicated, menacing, conversation ending sentence that proves you're the winner of this debate....just to stumble over a word and have a real-life typo moment.

the other person now keeps repeating it at any given opportunity. it becomes a whole inside joke. they keep saying it each time you two bicker now. a forever reminder of that shameful day...

is this thing on. playing with your f/os hair and their brain shuts off. putting your head against their chest and feeling their heartbeat speed up. getting close to f/os face to admire them and they’re visibly nervous. feeling their hands clam up when you take them in yours. f/o getting literal goosebumps or melting into you when you touch them. touching their cheeks and feeling the heat on their face. just f/o being so utterly down bad for you that it’s undeniable.

Imagine your shy F/O wanting to hold your hand for the first time but being far too nervous to make the first move. You soon begin to notice; the occasional brush against your hand as you walk together, or their eyes lingering on your fingers before quickly looking away.

One day, you decide to make the first move instead. You quietly hold out your hand, and after a brief pause, they shyly place theirs in yours. Your fingers intertwine, your thumb gently brushing over their skin in reassurance. Their face turns bright red, but they can’t hide their warm smile. They look so relieved and genuinely happy.
