« WHAT DOES THE LOTUS CLAN DO? »
The Lotus Clan is a small group of daring souls, unified for various reasons and motivations. They organize hunts, leves, or missions for Voidsent, Primals, and other problematic creatures (or people) that may threaten the safety of those they deem to care aboutâor for a large sum of gil. Or both! There are many types of characters within the clan and each has its own motives for being part of the group.

« WHAT DOES OUR FREE COMPANY OFFER? »
Again, weâre a group of characters that are either friends, acquaintances, or new patrons of the House of the Hidden Pearl Inn & Tavern (FC House - Mist, Ward 6, Plot 30).Â
There is an IC Linkshell/Clan (Ardent Lotus) that characters can join after RPing for a while if they are interested in participating in more exclusive/leves and FC events. However, joining the Ardent Lotus Clan is not mandatory, and certainly not expected of all members right from the get-go. We aim to have natural progression rather than âforcedâ membership.Â
As for FC-wide events, officers of the FC host two adventure/mission type of events on a monthly basis. These are planned ahead of time and put on our guild calendar. Members are welcome and encouraged to set up and run their own events in between, as well! These can be leve/mission types or events for personal character development plots. We want everyone in our group to get the type of RP they want, and give them avenues to make it happen.Â
Also, during Discord RP events, we feature a very basic trait/dice-roll system that is akin to D&D style games. This allows for some unexpected twist and turns, as well as for certain characters to tailor their dice-rolls with nods to their innate talents.
Our FC also features two monthly tavern social events, every 4 weeks on Sunday nights. One is advertised on the Crystal RP Calendar bot and the other is not--for our folks that prefer a smaller crowd. However, both are always open to friends/acquaintances of the FC, regardless of membership! This is also the opportunity for more entertainment-oriented characters to have their limelight on our in-house stage! For more information about our tavern event, check this tumblr post.
The only characters that would not be welcome within the tavern over long periods of time would be True Evil types that obviously prey on other patrons or adventurers through any matter of schemes or cruelty. You are, of course, allowed to RP a character with us not matter who they are and what they do, so long as you are prepared for the IC consequences of your characterâs actions--including combat by other players and/or permanent banning from the premises ICly.
« ABOUT THE PLAYERS »
Weâre a chill group of gamers ranging from ages ~22 to 45 that play FFXIV in our spare time. We enjoy chatting in our Discord server, RPing, PvE in FFXIV, other games, and just being friends with one another. Most of us have day jobs and some have children, so we, as a whole group, are not and cannot be online 24/7. Our most active hours are from 4:00pm EST/EDT until maybe 1-2:00am EST/EDT. We have folks from across all of the USA, a few from Canada and even fewer from the UK. A decent chunk of us also enjoy endgame raiding, and have dedicated statics.
Ardent Lotus is formerly called Aetherial Warriors <AW-RP>, and we as a group have been around for over 6 years now! Weâve seen a lot, gone through super ups and some bitter downs, but always have come out stronger than before. Though we are not as new as we were during FFXIV 2.X, weâre still very open and accepting of new members, both to the game and to our group.Â

The Beach
We suppose we cannot take credit for providing the actual beach, but the Pearl can claim that said beach is only a short walk down one flight of steps from our doors!
Performance Stage
Are you a singer, dancer, chocobo-juggler? Well, no matter what your unique talent is, you can show it off on our stage! Located in the center of the action, any bards or dancers are welcome to entertain inn guests and patrons alike!
Chocobo Stables & Outdoor Onsen
Eorzeans love their horsebirds, and therefore we do too! Worry not while you imbibe and rest, your feathered companion will be well cared for by our stable hands. Thankfully, the odor does not carry into the outdoor onsen just on the other side of the yard!

This opulent room, with its canopy double bed and private bath, is the perfect place to finish off a lovely wedding, honeymoon, or date night along the beach! Conveniently located just down the hall from the tavern, it is secluded and perfect for a romantic evening alone surrounded by music and sweet aromas. There is only one room like this available to the public, so reserve in advance!

Kuina mostly keeps to the books and out of the public eye, but occasionally she does make a spirited presence! She is the current overseer and manager of the Hidden Pearl. Speak with her about hiring, affiliations, or major concerns.
Mâzhundi Ahzi
Bartender & Tavern Manager (NPC)
This pleasant, light-eyed Seeker gal is primarily the barkeep for the Hidden Pearlâs main floor. She sees to the recipes, specials, and other restaurant duties that need performing when not slinging shots to weary travelers. Overworked, but certainly not underpaid, M'zhundi is ever bubbly and happy to serve. She loves listening to the patrons, but tries to keep from yapping too much, since she has a lot to do!
Temulun Angura
Receptionist & Inn Manager (NPC)
As a fellow refugee, Temulun sought out the position of Inn receptionist and manservant to the brother and sister team after knowing them briefly in Ul'dah. He is polite, efficient, but rather soft spoken. He tends to the Inn rooms and keeps them tidy, as well as brings patrons their breakfasts in the morning. Temulun also performs basic duties to help Kuina, such as cleaning and laundry. He rarely goes downstairs or leaves his post, as he is a bit intimidated by boisterous mercenaries.
Aisbhar Bloeblysson
Levemete & Huntmaster (NPC)
Hailing from Limsa Lominsa, the imposingly well-dressed figure in the basement is the keeper of leves, contracts, and jobs for all the prospective mercenaries, hunters, and adventurers that would like to get paid. Aisbhar is well known and has many, many connections to Grand Companies, as well as more seedier types. If you are looking for something to do for a fair bit of coin, he's your man.
Mâbheq Tia
Host (NPC)
A relative of Mâzhundi, Mâbheq serves the Hidden Pearl by helping patrons to their seats. For many moons, guests always seemed to congregate near the door...but no more! Mâbheq is here to make sure that guests are comfortable and tended to right away.
Aelfred Sawyer
Chef (NPC)
Also hailing from Limsa Lominsa, Kuina hired the Bismarck-chef-wanna-be the most recently of all her staff. With business going well and Mâzhundi being stretched to her limit, Aelfred relieves her burden and serves as the dedicated cook for the Hidden Pearl. (Under the miqoâteâs watchful eye, of course~) While he is not native to the Far East, the manâs culinary gifts are not to be overlooked; he is able to capture the essence of both Eorzean and foreign delights with expert ease.
Evrelle Cavumard
Bartender (NPC)
This young Gridanian lass is a good friend of Aisbharâs through circumstances that heâd rather not talk about with nosy adventurers. Evrelle is a pleasant woman who tends the beverage bar upstairs. While still a little green around the gills, this elezen is eager to serve patrons their drinks with a smile.
Iâason Tia
Gatherer & Part-Time Waiter (PC)
A shy, quiet soul, I'ason is a provider to the Hidden Pearl. He gathers many items, such as meat and herbs, to assist with the burden of upkeeping a busy tavern full of hungry patrons. I'ason also has been known to prepare small meals and helps M'zhundi with prep and cooking throughout the quieter daytime bells.
Ferai Caolann
Pastry Chef & Baker (PC)
This charming, easy-talking baker has more than a few tricks up his sleeve. Ferai is a new hire to the Pearl but has plenty of unspoken experience as a talented patisserie both within Eorzea and the Far East.
Ainle Goldpaw
Repair Man (PC)
As the talented mechanic and magitek whiz of a now disbanded Free Company, Ainle has many tasks around the Hidden Pearl that keep him busy as Naohiro and Kuina's go-to repair miqo'te man.
Naohiro Mori
Co-Owner & Ardent Lotus Clan Leader (PC)
Though not technically staff any longer, Naohiro does still co-own the Hidden Pearl with his sister, Kuina. He runs a small, yet growing, clan of adventurers out of the Pearlâs cellar beyond the ever-closed door~
