woah...im back

holy moly, it actually got me..

art block took me away but i am crawled back out of my grave after a very long break and getting back into crafts! my first choice of art is charms. ive had a lot of fun getting back into arts and crafts and i intend to stay for a while again. ive got a 'big' sewing project that i want to do where ive designed the pattern and will make it out of thrifted fabric >:)

here are my recent charms

from oldest to newest:

a miku charm i made from, what i think is, a blind box miku thingy. i got this charm so so many years ago and thought id add my own little charm to her ;) her pigtails have given me trouble though cos one keeps falling out, *sigh*

next is another thing ive had for a while that i thought id make into a charm, an ice bear with grizzly bears?? face! idky, he was found like that. i thifted most of the beads on it which i think is cool

third is a very unconventional charm with how big and square it is. its based off one verse from the song 'whole day off' by Oingo Boingo (go check out that album or oingo boingo in general. theyre a 80's new wave band, real funky, similar to DEVO) the lyrics are about the mcs new house looking like a dog house and then walking to the ocean. ive been obsessed with OB recently and wanted to make a charm based on them hehe >> (#°)3

and last is this little wand thing i made based off some pinterest posts i saw...really easy two second thing

and dont look at the photos to hard my house hates good lighting i guess...

woah its me again :D im not sure what tags work with this so i went with basic ones i dont know tumblr well😔

anyways here is some more art! and as i said previously this time its sewing, two pouches made from id say 80% thrifted fabrics. the lining (same fabric for both) and the dark blue fabric i bought at a craft store and the lace details were given to be by family (but thats just as good as thrifting) then the rest is thrifted>> (#°)3

i quite like thrifting fabrics because you cant have a defined image of what your projects gonna come out as and it really gets you thinking what patterns or colours work best, its so fun!

i wanted to make a pouch to put my nintendo DSi and its accessories in it so i made the red and blue one but i made it waaaay to small so i made the green one which is an inch larger and its perfect!

i dont sew often and ive only made medieval garments which werent to complex or pretty so it was very nice to make something colourful like this.

here is some felt art i did over my break. i picture of a jackal by a campfire, an electric guitar plus some beads and keroppi face. you cant actually tell the little creature by the fire is a jackal, everyone ive shown says its either a dog (which is half right) or a cat but i made it thinking it was a jackal so it is.

i made the jackal black because in Ancient Egypt black was a lucky colour as the soil that came from the annual flooding of the nile was black. jackals arent black all over and will often only have there backs black but thats hard to translate into felt lol

the guitar strings look weird as hell but i only attached them to the bottom and top of the guitar so it looks like you can strum them but it didnt look as good as i wanted it to...oh well 😔

i then made an earphones holder/organiser with keroppis face! its super cute and i love keroppi so much. ill def make more keroppi themed things or just art with his face on it >>( #°)3

speaking on keroppi, i didnt make this wallet over the break but i made it a while back and never shared so here it is. its just two pieces of felt that i sewed details on then blanket stitched together. i put a piece of thin cardboard between them to give it a bit more stability and shape. the characters on it are him and his girlfriend (keroleen) and his two best friends den-den (snail) and badtz-maru (pengiun thing)

Spoilers for some things show early on in the game as well but nothing big though!

i have so many screenshots of the game i just to use them somewhere but they are all heavy spoilers so i dont know how to use them lol

anyways so heres a little montage of Reko and Alice <3 lowkey hate that you have to choose between them because they would be so fun to watch interact with each other a lot more. but the time that the chosen sibling dies doesnt feel forced or like it shouldve been later on. They're both cuties and i wish they both could live

I might play it again to get more regular screenshots that arent huge ass spoilers so i can share my love for this game :D

i wanna do Mishima next and get some more Your Turn To Shine screenshots (if i can get past the 5th day my god)

thunderbirds :)

some more drawings of thunderbirds machines! the tea pot on FAB 1 is pretty cool actually. the TBS is kinda boring but it's a god damn hard machine to draw so i really didnt want to draw any more of it lol, FAB 1 is so fun to draw though. i tried using a few different colours to make the pink, don't know if it did much but it's pretty nice.

i based fab 1 of the OG thunderbirds but like usual there isn't much different. i like the OG vehicles better but it's mainly for the aesthetics of the series rather than the actual vehicles looking better. though TB5 does actually look nicer in the OG, i think the shape is more unique than TAG's >> ( #°)3

some beads based of the thunderbirds machines. i tried to experiment with different types of charms etc so each one is different. i really like fab 1 and TB5's colours but TB 3 is probably my favourite (to no surprise lol)

i'm quite happy with how these all turned out and they're so cool

i based some on the machine itself, like TB2 and TB4, and others are based off just the general colours of the machine, FAB1 and TB3. i like to change up the inspo for the looks and it can be a bit of a challenge making the piece look similar to how the colours on the machine are placed but thats the fun of making art right!

more thunderbirds stuff!

i randomly found this at an antique market recently and i'm so happy with it, it's insanely cool.

this is a dinky toys FAB 1 die cast, these were made from late 60's to late 70's with a few different versions of it. i'm pretty sure this one is one of the first versions as it's got the 'century 21' print and the little mascot above the grill being present.

i only did a little bit of research so i'm not 100% but those were the main aspects that changed through the versions. there were so many slight differences like tires, seat colours, pink variations etc etc

it's missing the rockets on the front and back but everything else is in pretty good condition i'd say.

these are for SCA (Society for Creatuve Anachronism) yes i am a big nerd

these medieval Irish Gaelic garb, the first one is a Leine. i don't think there's any first hand evidence of this garb as it was made of natural fibres but we know it was made of linen because leine is means linen lol. theres also images of often fighters/warriors wearing them and they also often wearing an Ionar. Ionars were jackets basically often made of wool and had cool patterns on them.

the most interesting thing about these garbs are the sleeves. the leine arm hole is half way up the sleeve which means theres a big hanging part. the ionar is then made to fit this and only has the top half of its sleeve, making it completely open.

i want to dye the leine with saffron (this is period) cos the yellow would look cool >> ( #°)3

these are the beaded jewelry based off of albums i like. i definitely need to make more of these because they're so fun to make and think of what colours to use >> ( #°)3

i have so many albums i could make which is a blessing and a curse, i don't know which one to do next?!!

these are all very good albums and artists i recommend all of them :D

again these are based off the '65 versions of the thunderbirds. thunderbird 3 and 5 are my favourite drawings but the small mole drawing im quite proud of. it's extra small and kinda has a bunch of detail i tried to add >> ( #°)3

ive played your turn to die so many times lol and i cant wait for the last chapters to finally be out >:)

kai is and always will be my favourite character. he has such a mysteriousness to him and his dry humour that usually isnt recieved well is that funniest thing.

these were very fun to make :) i got a bunch of new beads and i just had to make some of the chapters from CHnT. i usually only do bracket/loop type charms so i experimented a little with Rowan and Adam's charms ^_^

my models ive made so far!

i havent made many but i have a lot of models to make and they're all very different. i have a dinosaur of sorts that i'll probably do next 🦕

they're all plastic models except for the last one (St. Basils Cathedral in Moscow) which is a 3d puzzle. the pieces are made of foam and there was no instructions on how to build it so it was quite difficult to do
