Howdy!
In this blog, I'll be coding BFDI characters into their very own warrior cat Clan and seeing what happens. This is just a fun little experiment I thought I'd share on here.
For those who don't know, ClanGen is a Warrior Cats fangame that lets you create, simulate and manage a Clan of cats. The fun part is that while I can edit the save files to include the characters as accurately as possible, I won't be able to control their lives, decisions, or relationships, nor the random events that occur in the Clan each moon. It's like if Tomodachi Life and the Hunger Games simulator had a baby.
Follow along if you wish!
NOTES:
I will be using the popular mod LifeGen for this challenge, as it contains numerous extra features that expand upon the base game. HOWEVER, my main character will be in StarClan throughout the whole challenge and thus will not be able to interact or form relationships with any character.
Before I start the challenge, I will post each character's profiles as I make them.
Once the challenge has started, I will aim to post all significant Clan events following the schedule of 1 moon per day.
With how populous the Clan is, there are simply too many interactions to reasonably include in one post. So, for the 'RELATIONSHIPS' tab, I will only be listing interactions that are described as HIGH positive/negative.
While I could give every character their own unique warrior names, I prefer not to as to prevent confusion.
RULES:
I am not allowed to reset the current moon if it involves an outcome I find unfavorable (ex. a specific character dying). To reinforce this, the "Automatically save every five moons" setting will be switched to ON.
Every character who is able MUST go on some type of patrol every moon.
For maximum unpredictability, characters will not go into this challenge with established relationships. This includes mates.
This challenge will include canon characters only, therefore it is forbidden for any character to become pregnant or adopt kittens.
I will avoid letting randomly-generated cats join the Clan. In the case that this does occur, I'll edit them to be a BFDIE character or one of the failed debuters from TPOT.
Leaders WILL be allowed to automatically choose a new deputy in the event that there is none.
Warriors and elders CAN randomly choose to become mediators or medicine cats.
Dead characters will NOT be allowed to fade away.
Hunting patrols WILL be required to prevent starvation.
Feel free to suggest any rules you think would improve the challenge, and I'll add them at my own discretion.
With that out of the way, let's see what happens!
