Being the Salt of the Earth by faith in Christ is like being asked to bring the flavor out of a dish. And what does salt do? It satiates a plain boring experience into something to be lived--enjoyed! It takes a one note perspective of food and turns it into something better. It also creates distinction and difference when added to food. Our lives as believers in Christ should reflect Christ’s message in the same way. The message of Jesus; our gift of salvation, His principals/ standards of living for full authority over the enemy, and how much He’s in love with every single one of us should hit our “palates” similarly.
