No, what this is really about, is aphobia.

Go on the blogs of anyone starting discourse, saying he’s horrible, saying he’s problematic, etc, and I guarantee you will find that it’s written by an aphobe. They’re all mad because he supports ace/aro people and accept them in the LGBTQA+ community, so they’re reaching and digging for any piece of evidence that he might be flawed and blowing it up so every mistake seems like he’s the spawn of satan. Which he is not.

All of these discourse posts have an ulterior motive. They are not trying to bring truth. They are trying to destroy his reputation and thus invalidate his support of ace/aro people. Heck - half the time, when I’ve seen these comments, they have literally been additions to posts people have made about how glad they are he supports the ace/aro community, coming around and being like “um excuse me but he showed his butt once he’s problematic uwu”. 

It is not a coincidence that this discourse sprung up just after he explicitly supported ace/aro people. Don’t let the aphobes make you think it is. Do not forgive this, do not forget this.

This is not about NSFW stuff. This is not about a slip up with not double checking an artist’s age (which, by the way, was not in that artist’s bio at the time - the only way people knew they were underage is it was in their bio previously a long time ago.). 

He acts like a jerk in literally every scene for absolutely no reason other than jealousy and is shown to be constantly antagonizing Woody. You could even partially blame the rivalry between Woody and Buzz on Mr. Potato Head himself because of his constant jabs at Woody, without them the Sherrif might of not been as violently jealous and learnt to get along with Buzz earlier.

Now, how is this behavior punished? Its not. He is shown to get knocked over at the end of the movie, having his parts thrown everywhere, but thats also shown to happen constantly to him, so I highly HIGHLY doubt that its nothing more than an inconvenience to him at this point. Infact, he is even REWARDED for being such a constant jerk to his friends, no, his FAMILY by getting a wife at the end of the movie.

Infact, in the second movie, despite him risking his life to save Woody, it seems to be out of nothing but obligation/peer pressure. His wife, however, does nothing but love and cherish him and their friends, showing that she is far better of a person (spud) than her husband.

Sure you could say by the third movie that he wasnt nearly as much of a jerk, but is that character development or is it simply due to him being overshadowed by the newer, actually interesting characters, or because Pixar needed him to be likable? Realistically a character in that stage of his adulthood, assuming that he is in a constant state of adulthood compared to Big Baby who is in a constant state of infancy, would NOT actually grow or develop this much over 10+ years of neglect from his sole reason of existance.

Not to mention on the list of fuckable Toy Story characters, he is towards the bottom, compared to Buff Duck, more commonly known as Ducky, who is at the very least number 3. The contrast between these two characters is astounding. While ducky was willing to risk his life at the drop of a hat for a complete stranger was a beautiful show of heart. Compared to Mr. Potato Head, who instantly physically assaulted one of his closest friends/family members who he has known for what I can only assume is his entire life because he “apparently” attacked the newest flavour of the month in a disgusting display of primal mob mentality.
